Saturdays In Raleigh, Nc

your 93 is clean, Shawn, it is just that you have been spending your time under the hood, where i have been spending my time with a wax applicator and exterior bling. what gave away the fact that he was talking about me was not the immaculate part, it was the rain part. I would trade my exterior for your engine anytime you want.

Still can't get the forum thread to take the pictures. I am loading them the same way I always have and the file size is showing between 50Kb and 83Kb, in the same format I've always used. The error I am getting is there is a slight error with forum database. It appears to me that the server doesn't have the storage space, or it doesn't understand the file transferred.
I don't know, maybe the the server has blown an apex seal or the OMP has quit working. Ren said he would adjust the TPS to see if that would improve the download sync rate.

sat. May 15 meeting location
This Saturday's meeting is on for 6:30 pm at the Char Grill on Strickland Rd in north Raleigh. Remember the rain location is the Parking garage behind the Wachovia Bldg on Blue Ridge Rd.
We had a good turnout last Saturday, lets see if we can get some other to show up. See y'all there!

Yea, how did it turn out? Sorry, I couldn't make it, I had an uncontrollable urge to modify on Saturday after the UPS man dropped off many boxes on my doorstep Friday. Spent the day under the car, 6pm just snuck up on me. How did it turn out? Anyone new?

What new toys did you get or are we going to have wait to see them at next month's meeting?

well the ones i got to this weekend were;
-diff brace(oh and shawn if you read this i didn't put in the rubber bushings like you said and at high RPMs the vibration is kidney rattling, gotta get under there and do the something like what you said)
-urethane engine mounts
-short shifter
-front turn lamps(my aesthetic 5 minute mod)
-oil change & spark plugs
this next saturday (though I am gonna try to get things done earlier so I can be done by 5:30ish, that is if Bert is gonna give it another round this coming Saturday);
-boost gauge
-blitz SUS intake
-fluidyne radiator(if i get motivated to dig into the car that far)
-brake fluid change so you guys don't rag on me next time i pop my hood
and hopefully by the time next months meet, I wanna have a PFC & commander; if not it will be very early next month sometime. I know I am pushing the limit running intake, dp, hiflow, & catback. so the sooner i get it in the better. oh and maybe a boost controller(thinking apexi AVCR)
is there a name for the sickness i have?
are we gonna do another meet this Saturday, Bert?

This past Saturday I was the only one to show up for the 6:30 meet, so y'all didn't miss much. I hung around until a little after 7:00 then I left and took my wife to dinner.
This coming weekend I have an Allison Krause concert in Cary that I'm attending, bought the tickets before we started meeting on Saturday evenings. I'll be there Saturday night.
Y'all are free to meet even though I can't make it. But what I'd like to start doing is to pick an issue some of us are having with our cars. The first is the problem with engine bucking at low RPMs in the low gears. Do 3 gens have this problem? I've done a lot of research on the problem and thought that if we start tackling these types of issues we'll all learn and get some positive feedback by improving the performance of our cars. This will also get us to focus on a particular issue and give us some time to evaluate our cars on this issue and time to research the service manual and Haynes manuals before the meet. At each meet we can decide what the next problem will be. What are y'all thoughts about this.
I still have the Mazdaspeed oil filler cap to award at the first meet when 8 RX7s show up. Anyone have any other ideas to better focus our meetings and time?

well if I may be so bold; maybe we should just skip this coming saturday and arrange to have a meet the last saturday of this month, when Bert will be able to make it. Hopefully, with advance notice some more people will be able to make it out. So, clear your evening on Saturday, the 29th and come on out.
If you can't make it out to the Saturday meet at the end of the month drag your lazy asses :p to the Mazda meet on Friday, June 4th.
So far only a few people have been motivated to come out. I always knew that RX7 people had a superiority complex , but at least don't be antisocial. Come learn something, teach something, bench race, or sit back and watch.
Also, I'll just mention that this isn't a car show and nobody is going to make fun of you if your 7 is in less than perfect shape. I know I was somewhat nervous the first time I took my 7 out to the Mazda meet, thinking that it wouldn't be good enough. Everyone made me feel as though my car was appreciated and offered plenty of tips on what to do and what mods I should focus on. Like Ashraf's suggestion to change my 80K mile old brake fluid
On a different note, I think we have a good amount of 7s around the Triangle and it would be nice if we could stir up some interest. Anyone have any ideas on attracting more folks, especially people that aren't on the forum? I see 7s all the time and short of flagging them down on the highway and telling them about the meetings, I don't know how to get their attention. I would like to see an increase in either meet; The Mazda Club or the Raleigh RX7 Club (RRC) [figured the club needed a name].
oh & blacksupra you should make it out to one of the meets, somebody is bound to have some insight into your fuel cut problem. it is always easier for some1 to advise you if they can see the problem in action.

Well, if you aren't stuck on being a separate group and okay with being Raleigh members of the Mazda Sports Car Club of North Carolina, I have a stack of business cards I can give you that you can leave on the windshields of parked cars.

Either way I may get some of those cards from you at the next meet and hand them out.
I'm glad that blacksupra found you, I have been trying to push him towards going to one of the meets so he could meet you.
