Nope, not yet. Just went out and covered the SRT and hid the RX-7 body parts just in case though, lol.

Just got some SERIOUS rain when I was coming back from cookout. Heading under 440 on western ave I hit a standing water puddle with a large tea in my hand. Steering wheel got ripped out of my hand and immedaitely after that the tail started wandering. grabbed the wheel, dropped the tea (didnt break open thank god, Im at work, nothing to change into if i got wet) and counter steered a little bit. Car straightened out and I picked my tea up.

And the Japanese/germans wonder why we need cup holders.

I need to change my oil, too. Does that count? And add a bigger anti-sway bar.

By the way, is anyone planning on leaving for Deals Gap on Friday? I'm afraid I'm going to end up driving by myself

David, Eric and I will be in G'boro saturday morning, but I can swing by in the afternoon if you still need help. Oh, and I think she brought it up this time, too. Either that or I brought it up, trying to steal the idea. Either way.

Carl, glad the car is running right.

Funny, I remember mentioning it several months ago myself, not only for getting things done but more for the learning experience...

Welcome another destroyer of egos.

This time though, I think they aren't using an I-6. I think they are going with a V-6. It'll be nice to see some real world numbers of these things.

^I don't like it. They should have come out with the 2001 concept. I thought there was going to be an optional V8? The Supra concept that was out before was supposed to have a V8 too, before they came out with that hybrid thing.

I hope the weather stays nice for Saturday. Stupid rain. We were up last night at 11:30 pulling the spare FC body parts onto the porch and digging out the car cover to cover the SRT-4. I hate hail. We didn't get any, but I heard the news was saying that it was bad out in Cary and Garner.

What I've read (which was around a month ago) was that they would be using a TT V-6. That hybrid thing is rad. 400 hp with 200 coming from a gasoline engine and the other coming from the electric motor.

i am not really feeling the new GTR. I dunno. I can tell it will grow on me, but it just seems like a let down. Same thing I think Mazda would do if they brought the RX7 back. It wouldn't be the same car, meaning in the sense of living up to it's heritage.

Yeah, I hear that. Mazda killed off the RX-7 in the States because that damn thing was getting insanely expensive. What, both the R1 and R2s were going for around 40k, maybe more.

yea, i agree, but really with the world class performance, they were worth it. think about the performance. if rivaled most porsches, ferraris, etc. I think ford killed it off so it wouldnt compete with the mustang. i dont have any backing for this, just my personal conspiracy theory. oh that and emmissions, probably wouldnt have passed OBDII.

You could possibly go that route. Possibly one of the major blows was the fact that originally it was an affordable sports car that had become a little too expensive. The third incarnation was definitely something to be feared. Mustang competition? Mustangs are fat asses though. Being Mazda's flagship sports car may not have hurt it though. Take for instance Mercury's Sable and Ford's Taurus. (Oddly enough I saw these two cars one in front of the other today.) Would they be competition for each other? Yeah. Either way I would love to have an FD in my "garage." <- virtual garage...

^75 more now!

Just wanted to pass along that I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it Sat. I had to take Keri to the ER last night. She's was feeling pretty bad at work yesterday and one of the girls had to take her home. She got really bad around 8, so we headed to the ER...didn't get home until 1 this morning. They think she has some kind of bacterial infection but aren't real sure. She's been in bed ever since. Hopefully, she's well enough to venture out on Sat.
