Alright homie, we'll get all that fixed, as long as you bring the parts, haha. Gotta get to bed now, WAY too late.
Another fine video, hahaha.

BTW, do you have anything to add to the maintenance list? I SUPPOSE we could work on Miatas too, haha.

um okay. i can see that i can't take a break from this thread haha.
Phil, i am pretty sure the start ISNT there, sorry to disappoint.
Eric, Joey, Greg: actually from some of the weight numbers i have seen the ls1 can be slightly lighter. these are before and after numbers on the same vehicle. in most cases this is going from a stock twin setup to the LS1. it only winds up being heavier vs a single turbo setup....sometimes. All in all you will not have to worry about the balance of the car. If you go with headers instead of the factory manifolds you def won't know the diff.
I am sure there are some people that concern themselves over a few lbs. of unbalance. Unless you are one hell of a driver you aren't going to tell the difference. that means 99.9% of us can live with any unbalance the LS1 would create.
If you guys want a lot of info visit torquecentral.com
Greg & Joey: A LS1 vert would be insane. The only concern would be the differential and axles. Other than that the rest would be replaced. I think the vert runs a TII rear end right? So probably not much room for concern.

Mazda Drivers event at VIR, June 16-17, $425. (note: you don't get any preference for driving a Mazda)
Be there or face the neverending heckling from us real drivers. (sorry I have to start practicing my elitist attitude, haha) I mean why would you spend that kind of money on your car if you didn't want to drive it on a track? what else are cars good for? (something along those lines, Ashraf might be able to kick in a few others )

SE's prices are sky high, although I'm not sure how much I could get for mine since it needs paint pretty bad.
I'm pretty good on maintenance now, I just need to get an alignment and an oil change before the gap.

I'm def trying to make that event then, sounds like a blast. Oh, and I thought we FD owners were already elitist...that's what I keep hearing from the other sections of the forum anyway, haha.

Yes you do have to tell me everything. For starters, which turbo to buy...the one in AZ or the one in NC lol. I checked the good guy/bad guy section for the guy selling the one in AZ and he has alot of good reviews (all good actually, none bad) and the guy here in NC has no reviews. However, the one here in NC I can pick up in person and look at it on the spot. So...quite the quandry.

That's hilarious, haha.

i would say the guy from NC. We can go look at them. Check them for shaft play, etc. Safer deal. What is the price difference?
FD owners ARE elitist, but track driving FD owners are the elite elite. they can even look down on othe FD owners. That is the only reason i am going to start going to events. hah

not to mention, the roll cage, sway bars, and headers (similar to a downpipe for you rotary people ) I want to put in this summer. When you think you are done, you will just have more stuff to buy. When all that is done, and project: twins is complete. I will want new wheels, something with a deep lip in the back.
Joey, I agree with only one project car, but just make sure you stick with the one you love the most. that way when she is sucking your bank account dry it won't hurt as much.

Josh, all I can recall on the rear end of the Vert is that it runs a lower gear, 391 or something like that as opposed to a 411? on the T2. Anyway it might make sense if done to go ahead and do a T2 drivetrain and rear (or whatever is needed) since they will handle 400hp. I'm thinking the Vert's drivetrain is the same as an NA except for the gear in the rear.
So if I read you correctly an LS1 swap includes doing a 6 spped tranny?

Hey guys, on the Mazda event you might need your own helmet if it's an HPDE thingy. I'm going to check the list Steve sent me and see if he is going to be an instructor at that one.

(not that she ever checks this forum, but all the pictures were taken by Jessica Hephner, aka the girl that is always hanging around Josh, AKA Josh's girlfriend. so i wanted to say thanks.)
