Oh, does Dave still have those $30 TII brake calipers he was gonna sell me? Hey Dave, I'm still interested. You gonna bring us back some pics of drifting and we expect some shots from Ken of a Red 7 on the beach.

Dammit, you were supposed to eat the worm! Maybe next time.
I just realized that the next meet is the week I am taking off for vacation. I'm not going anywhere, so I will definately be there. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do the rest of the week, I really don't have any car projects lined up right now.

What's Up
Its was nice meeting everyone, I'm sorry to have left so early, but the wife had a migraine headache. It may have been from the exhaust fumes some of our 7's give off j/k.
Did anyone notice that all of the girl owners & cowners were all redheads?Redheads are kinda like RX7's
They are kinda rare, and when you see one most of the time it's really hot looking, they can be the most fun you ever had or they can make you want to beat your head against a brick wall. and when you run them hot you have really messed up.

It was great meeting all the new people and seeing some of the owners I hadnt seen in a while. That picture Lauren posted reminded me just how hot that RX8 was. Capital was getting a lot of police action later on in the night (11:00-11:30), with the cops busting people everywhere. Sounds like all of us got home ok, though. Can't say the same for some of the rice boyz I saw pulled over.
Anyhow, hope to see everyone at some of the upcoming meets. Oh yea, and lets see some more pictures!

Great time last night. I'll download the pics I took and have'em posted either tonight or tomorrow. They'd already be online but this is my weekend to work.
Thanks to everyone who came out, it'll take me a few meets to match names with forum names so be patient on that please. We didn't have an FD parade to mark the official start of the meeting. The two 8s that showed up were beautiful and I thank their owners for bringing them out.
We had a total of 16 rotary machines at this drive-in, a one night record. Dave even made in an RX, the problem though was that it was a Honday and had a C in front of it rather than a 7 or 8 after it.
The drawing for the RSR sparkplug wires was held and Johny's wife did the honors of drawing the winners DL, Congratulations to Taylor on winning the set. I'll have to contact RotorSports Racing to find out what info they need to order and make up the wires for Taylor's FD.
The Drive-In was help the first Saturday in May and had a total of two FCs present. We've grown in number and in diversity of models represented, but we all love our rotaries and can celebrate and enjoy this common bond. I hope Lauren can use her organizational and leadership skills to build a good rotary group in G'boro, whatever we can do to help.
The pics will be coming soon to a forum near you.

I've gotta stop by the photo store tomarrow and get some more chemicals....I should have some pics of capital sometime this week. It was crazy out there last night. Sounds like me and Lauren left just in time ... I'm wasn't trying to get any hassle from the man.

ok guys, i got an update on my car.
in case you didnt know, undergoing a 5 speed swap.
finally got all the new parts for my swap (new clutch, hydraulics, bearings, trans seals, etc.) and should be running by the end of this week (hopefully). if any of you guys need any automatic trans parts, give me a PM. i'll be glad to help ya out. Much thanks to the Durham group, I appreciate all your help.
I found out why my idle wouldnt go down past 1900 -- I had all the vac hoses plugged in on the engine, but today when taking my engine and transmission out i noticed that the vac hose that runs from the tranny to the back of the throttle body, was unplugged at the trans. But everything is going smooth, now that I have some cash to use.
I'll come up to the meet once I have at least a couple hundred miles on my car, and don't worry, I'll be making that odometer spin like a top!
Also, do any of you guys have an S-AFC for sale?

As ya'll can see I've picked up Leslie Nicole She is a 86 base model it has manual windows and no sunroof I like both those features It is gunmetal grey k8 paint code I think.and a burgandy int 202k on the clock. I pulled the motor out today ( the previous owner had done a lot before I started).
I just found out today that the mortor was reman 1996 stamped on rotor housing.
The bad news he told me he had listed as a junked title so he wouldn't have to pay taxes on it. I has sat for 5 years I'm torn on what to do with this car the body is pretty straight and the int. isn't too bad, I just hate to drop a lot of cash and it not be worth anything because of the title.
From the looks of the exhaust it looks like a bad coolant seal was the initial problem.
Let me know yor ideas Ill keep you posted
