don't get stressed. if you really need to do a rebuild we can work something out on mine. i think what would take the longest is getting the irons re-faced (is that something we can do at a local shop?) Mine is already dismantled, so it would be easier (as in it would save us 2-3 hours
i'll call you this afternoon.

I was wondering if you guys still have meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. Obviously we're coming up on the 5th Saturday of the month so there isn't one this weekend, but I was hoping I could start coming to the meetings on the 4th Saturday of the month if they're still happening.
...and hopefully you'd still let me come even though I'd be driving the Taurus since I just got my 7 and haven't addressed the overheating issues on it yet.

^Not a problem what you drive brotha. And yes we still have the meetings on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays unless something else comes up, but most of the time even then someone will be there. If something does come up, I'd say 99% of the time it's brought up in these pages, so check back here often.

it looks like you run the seafoam in the oil. seems similar to the old trick my dad showed me. if you are full on oil pull a quart out, and run a quart of diesel, at idle, in it for about an hour, then take it for a quick drive, making sure to rev it. cleans all the sludge out. works great for piston engines, and with the added bonus that the diesel has some lubricating properties.
best thread i could find on it(there are others use seafoam and search titles only)
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=seafoam
apparantly you can put it in the gas as well. who knew?
with yours i might try in both. i mean if it is blown you arent going to hurt it, and if it is carbon. then you want to make sure to clean all the areas that get gunked.
sea foam= chuck norris **** for engines hahahahaahahahah!!!

Well I removed the leading plugs and turned the car over to listen to see if it sounded like a seal was gone, and I have to say it sounded good, didn't sound like one was missing, and I looked in the plug holes with a mirror, but I'm not sure if I was actually seeing something so I still need someone to turn it over manually while looking if I'm gonna see anything. After that, I sprayed some carburetor cleaner in the two leading plug holes and put the plugs back in, and it started and ran then died out. I tried to start it again but of course it wouldn't cause the plugs were already drenched. So I took them out and swapped them with the last set I had in and had cleaned up with a wire brush and lighter. At this point I put a hose going from the UIM into a can of Seafoam and turned the car over a few times. I started the car a couple times and it ran for about a minute each time. After the last time I looked in the can and it was almost empty, and the car wouldn't start again. So tomorrow or Sunday I'm going to clean up the other set of plugs and put them back in, and *hopefully* start the car up and drive it around, getting all the Seafoam out, and *HOPEFULLY* it will be running normally. Wish me luck!
Josh, I would have run it your way but this is the way BC explained it to me already. Thanks though bro. I hope it works either way.

Seafoam sold its soul to the devil for its rugged good looks and unparalleled cleaning ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, seafoam roundhouse kicked the devil in the face and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month.
FWIW i wouldnt have done the direct injection method on a car that was having idle problems. I guess that is what I get for not calling haha.

I probably wouldnt have either, but whats done is done. it will just be a little hard to get the car started. No worries. In any case, if there is a de-flood program in the FDs like there is on the S5 FC then use it when you try to start the engine tomorrow. I have never gotten a car to start without cranking it for a few minutes. So even if you have to pull the injector plugs to keep them from opening I would do that. If you can just step on the gas pedal to keep gas from entering the enigne then do that.
Should be hilarious seeing the amount of smoke coming out of that car when you get it started.

Seafoam once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.

If Chuck Norris is reading this right now I got one thing to say...remember that Chuck Norris likes to knit sweaters in his spare time. And by "knit" I mean Kick. And by "sweaters" I mean rotor heads that steal his phrases!!! Y'all better be careful! lol, okay, it's late, leave me alone And Phil...that bottle ROCKS! Where did you find that? I think we should bring some to DGRR

Oh, and I guess it's not "worth" too much, haha. Like BC said, it's done now. And I wouldn't call it an idle problem so much as I'd call it a running problem in general. It's not just idle that it's bad, it's bad ALL the time. It still ran really rough while it was sucking in the Seafoam, hopefully it will eat away all the carbon tonight. I called you earlier tonight bro, but like always, NO ANSWER ON YOUR END, haha.

Seafoam was once given a 30 minute comedy special on HBO. After it's first joke, nobody laughed, so Seafoam proceeded to roundhouse kick the entire audience to death while it laughed hysterically. This special will now be held biweekly, ranging from thirty seconds to an hour depending on how much sleep Seafoam got the night before.

You should have seen the smoke coming out already, it was ridiculous. I stepped outside (it was dark already) and around the street light, it just looked like a dense fog moving down the street, and my garage was COMPLETELY filled too, with both a garage door and the back door open for airflow, haha. And the FDs are the same, you press the pedal down all the way and it shuts off fuel. I usually just pull the fuse though, when I want to make SURE there is no fuel going in.

Whenyou do get it running again do an oil change. Im willing to bet your oil will be filthy.
The smoke you saw tonight is honestly nothing compared to when you go WOT the first time. It LITERALLY looks WORSE than the worst running deisel semi-truck you have ever seen. Its huge think clouds of nasty nasty black smoke.
