1. He's hoping to get $3k, I don't remember if he said that's with the stuff fixed or not though. If someone wants the car with everything fixed they'll have to wait at least 5 more months til he gets back from the sandbox.

2. I'm not sure if it's S4 or S5, I'll take some pics of it. I don't think he premixes though.

3. He's running a stock TII turbo and intercooler at about 15psi IIRC.

well, the NA looks like it was wrecked. it has S4 taillights, and they didnt sand the rear bumper before repainting. car has 150K on the odometer. interior looks super clean. not that good of a deal i would say 2500 maybe.

I just ordered my new shocks. Maybe they'll get here in time to put it on this weekend, wee
Thanks Joey for the heads up, saved me around $150. I just bought the AGX's from ebay seller theimportexperts in Yakima, Washington. Can't wait to get them on the GTU. Best prices I'd found on line were $492 from Tire Rack and $499 from Shox.com.

I think JDMWerks is who I got mine from on eBay also. Kinda surprised there's not more on there right now, like Joey said there use to be at least 3 or 4 different people selling several sets on there.

What's going on guys? I was just cruising through the forum to see what's changed since I sold my car and figured I'd say hey in here why I was at it. It's definately been a while! I see some 7's driving around occasionally but it's difficult getting their attentions when your not driving one anymore. I still plan to buy another one when I have some time and more money to keep up with them.

On a side note, its kinda funny how things can you remind you of rx7's sometimes... I was walking through a store over the past weekend and smelt something that immediately triggered thoughts of sitting in my car those Saturday night's out at Chargrill. (You guys still do that?) Which in the long run sent me to where I am right now on the forum.

To get our attention just make a triangle with both your hands and scream. We are still doing the Saturday nights thing.

Actually I was referring to my staggered fitment, but thanks Phil!

On another note...Melba is REALLY testing my patience I think she's got another stuck seal, at least it feels like that's the case. It was running fine last night when I got home. I had noticed a rattling sound the other night so I felt the bolts holding the bell housing to the engine and a couple had come loose on top so I tightened them. I still heard a little rattling so I jacked the car up last night when I got home and tightened another on the bottom, and figured while I was at it I'd check to make sure the bolts holding the pressure plate to the flywheel were still tight. I got to the third one and it was a LITTLE loose but still holding well, and I realized I need to get it on a lift and pull the tranny back so I can get to the nut on the back of the bolts. I had moved the flywheel of course to check the bolts, but only maybe 1/4 turn. That's the only thing I did that could affect the way it runs today. I started it this morning and it has a ROUGH idle, and will die most of the time if I don't keep my foot on the gas. I figured once I got moving it would get better (it has good mornings and not so great mornings but once I get on the road they usually get better), but that was not the case. I thought maybe running the 2-cycle might have started to plug my filter or injectors, but people run premix all the time with no problems, so next... I stopped at the station and topped off to dilute the mix some, just in case the engine was getting too much oil and not enough fuel, and while it would probably take longer to take effect than just the little I drove it this morning I was hoping it would improve a little already. There is a sweet spot where you don't notice the rough idle (it actually sounds like I'm bridge ported, but being that I'm not, it's not so much a good thing, haha), but if you let off the gas just a bit it gets real choppy and starts bucking. I figured "well, if I have the sweet spot I probably have WOT too"...nah, not so much. At that point I was about half way to work and turned around. I guess I'll drive it again when I get home tonight and see what happens. This is really starting to get old.

LS1 FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 111!!11111!!11!!1!!!!!!!1!!!1!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

but seriously, i would think your problem is largely due to the excessive oil consumpution have going on. the seals will stick from time to time, but shouldn't do it ALL the time. we should get you over to premix and see how that goes. it would be easy to try, i think.

You know, I'm ashamed to admit it, but LS1 did cross my mind on the way home, HAHAHA. 1. I don't have NEAR enough money to swap and 2. my love and commitment to the rotary will not allow me to make the swap at this time, AT THIS TIME. Everyone has a breaking point, lol. It doesn't happen ALL the time but it has been more frequent in the last few months. However, the first couple times it happened was before I started premixing. And it was actually idling when I pulled in the garage this morning...it was idling VERY low (like around 100-200 RPM) but it was still running, which it wouldn't do before. It ran so beautifully yesterday, it just kills me. I think my TPS is still jacked too.

Yeah I think I'm gonna stop using premix until I block the OMP. I just bought a bottle of MMO to use too. Josh, if you wanna assist with the OMP block, let me know, haha. I might go ahead and get the injectors cleaned while I'm at it, if I can get all this done before DGRR.

umm. can i be stupid for a second? can't you just unplug the OMP? I guess the reason to block is that it might allow oil through anyways?

you know i am down to help. i didnt know you were premixing. STOP IT! you have to much oil hahaha

oh and on the money thing, let me think.

vmount setup $2K
engine rebuild $2K or more
single turbo setup $2.5K
PFC & Commander $800 (if you can find one)
BOV $200
Greddy Elbow $150
High flow cat $350 or midpipe $150

LS1
$4K engine trans combo
$3K in hardware (if that much)
$200 for y-pipe

looks like an even matchup money wise ;-) hahaah oh and you would get 28-29MPG highway.

[vader]come to the darkside[/vader]

sorry fellas, i have to do it from time to time, just as a reminder to everyone.

oh and on the money thing, let me think.

vmount setup $2K -already paid for, just waiting for engine rebuild and turbo acquisition
engine rebuild $2K or more -gonna do that myself, hopefully it will be less than 2k
single turbo setup $2.5K -still not sure if this is what I'm going with, may just get stock turbos rebuilt for now or go with BNR Stage 3PFC & Commander $800 (if you can find one) -already have money in hand and had a deal worked out with RamyBOV $200
Greddy Elbow $150
High flow cat $350 or midpipe $150

LS1
$4K engine trans combo
$3K in hardware (if that much)

I don't know if you can just unplug the OMP, all I've ever heard about is people running block off plates. If it can just be unplugged then maybe I'll just try that way first. I wasn't sure I'd like the results though, so I didn't want to do it. I'm only adding premix every other tank, because I'm not sure when exactly I'm gonna run dry I don't want to add it every time if I don't know when I've used up all the fuel, know what I mean? 4oz per 20 gallons isn't that bad, but maybe it's just bad enough. And I added some comments to the budget, haha.

I'd do it...cough...ahem...El Es Juan FTW!

4 oz./tank is nothing. I think we be runnin' 'round 12 oz. for realz yo if you be wantin' full on premix minus da OMPizzle.

Oh and Josh, I honestly don't think his engine needs rebuilding. I'm sure it's his damn turbos causing the smoking. This is of course unless E-dog is pullin' a fast one with his compression numbers, which I doubt.

Wait...those two comments are contradicting each other...
