Quick question, does MM burn enough like two-cycle without leaving residue, or is it more like regular oil?

Don't really remember if I've heard anyone say one way or the other. I do recall some of those "in the know" saying it's more of a detergent which isn't good for the engine. I think as cheap as 2-cycle is or can be I'd rather stay with it just in case but alot of people use MMO and haven't complained.

Thats right. You were forced to stick behind Jason at the back of the caravan on the way out there! I was behind him for 2 minutes and had to get out in front to breath again.

Man seriously, there were two times I remember where I had to drop back for a while to get fresh air when they were running together. That's what I get for being tail gunner... that and the scare from the HP that snuck up behind me.

Well I guess I'll go with 2-cycle then, thanks Greg.

Hey Jason, what brand of 2-cycle did you use again? Maybe I'll just pick up where you left off, we don't want anyone longing for the old days

Oh I could never forget about an AutoX, haha. I called Ashraf yesterday and explained the situation. He said he'd refund me since I gave him enough notice. He asked me if I could borrow someone else's car, haha. But I need to be in GA that day picking up the young'n. He also asked me why Josh couldn't strap down his battery in 3 weeks time and register, HAHA. He told me I needed to get on him about it, haha. Josh is still gonna take me down to get it next weekend though. I landed on my right wrist playing basketball yesterday too and it's killing me, I'm not sure if I can take too much heavy shifting right now anyway. I'm thinking about making it up to Raleigh tomorrow night since I'm not going anywhere this weekend, anyone have plans? I'll probably be hanging out with Rob at least.

SUUUURE, excuses excuses Johny. Haha. Actually when I get the car back I'm rebuilding the clutch master cylinder too, it's leaking inside the car. I've had the rebuild kit since the clutch swap, I just didn't think I needed it. My wrist feels better already though, haha. Johny, when you're a pro driver, it's just like being any other kind of sports athlete...you have to ice down after the games, you can't take any chances, etc. LOL

Oh yeah, Jason, I guess my car will just smell even worse for a little while, haha. Although I'm not sure that's possible, for it to smell any worse than it has been. I think we all remember the day of the drive that the Porsche broke down? lol

Thanks Nic, we'll have to compare exhaust smell someday, lol. I thought about running it on the way back from GA but maybe I'll wait til I get back home.

ok so I haven't posted in a while. More to read than I can handle to catch up on here. grrr...

Newho... David and I didn't get our dream apartment. We were turned down. Instead, we are looking to buy a house. Something small and simple. We can get a VA loan easier, and we'd be spending money each month on something we OWN rather than just paying for a place to live.

We would prefer a garage, but I think we're just going to get a small farm house and build a bad-*** garage big enough for a lift and all our goodies.

Since we first started dating, I had always threatened that we'd buy a small house and build a garage bigger than the house itself. Looks like that might happen.

This will be good for ppl who need to have tech weekends to upgrade/maintain their cars for DGRR, VIR, and other rotorhead shenanigans.

Smart. Smart. Smart. And when you are ready maybe all your Mazda friends can help you with a shop raising or a garage warming party. Stephanie and I bought our first & current house a little over 4 years ago. Its only about 1000 sf, but we love it. No garage though. We can't agree on that. I want to add on to the house with an attached garage. She wants it detached which costs a lot more.

Based on comments from BC about the last Pre-Meet rdive, I'm in the running for the the exhaust smell competition.
Speaking of Exhaust, the CorkSport cat-back should be delivered tomorrow
I'll probably be installing it the 2 weekends from now, since next weekend is Autocross. I've talked to one person who installed it himself and he says it very straight forward and an easy DYI. Plus I've read the same on the RX-8 boards of others who did their own installs. So I figured I would tackle it myself too, anyone interested in helping?
Going off 'Stina's post, maybe we can just get a large tech day/weekend going and do a few DYIs on a few cars.

^I can think of a few projects coming up on my car, haha.

Oh yeah, I just got home a little bit ago with the second truckload of FB goodies...dashboard, front bumper, 13B, and two sets of GSL-SE wheels with racing tires.

You are in the running, but the prize will go to Eric. Your car made my g/f comment, his FD made me sick. I would spend a full day behind Jasons car before I would spend 1 mile behind erics.

Mapping the route in MapPoint it's an estimated 2hour 12minute drive from my place. 2 minutes difference if I go I40/I95 or US1/US501 route.
So I guess I'll have to leave my place about 5:00am damn that's gonna be early.
If you want we can meet up around the I40/I95 interchange about 5:30-5:40am?
Who else was going from RRDI? Do we want to try and caravan, even though that early willl be tough.
