There was 3 fds last night , and two fc's...cobra and bmw.

 

yea i went. it was a good night. the car was loving the cool night air. Bert came by in what I think was an accord later on in the night.

 

Yeah, I had made a stop at Borders Books and just thought I'd drive down to the Char Grill to check out the parking lot. What do I find? A bunch of 7s and a Cobra and some guys standing out in the parking lot hugging each other. It was like they were all related and hadn't seen each other in several weeks. Now I'm thinking, I know I cancelled the meeting because of Hurrican Charley so it couldn't be a drive-in.

Well yeah, there were several of our guys. I stopped and visited for awhile, but I missed most of the fellowship. That's the last time I try to call off a meeting. From now on the Drive-Ins happen every 2nd & 4th Saturday regardless of the weather. If you want to drive to the Char Grill then I'm pretty sure you'll find a few 7 owners there just waitin' for you to show up.

I'll let y'all know about the Mazda meetup next Saturday when I get some definite information about times and locations. It should be somewhere in the triangle but as of yesterday nothing was set,

sorry i didn't make it out last night guys. I moved into my apartment and was too busy breakin the new place in. Also, it didn't help having 3 hot girls as our new neighbors.

 

hehe. moving into a new place always brings new "adventures" You didn't miss too much at the meeting last night. Just remember that hardcore rotary owners even toss aside women for a drive-in.

 

The drive-in motto, "Drive in when you can and take care of the important stuff when you must. Taylor, sounds like you're gonna have to invite some of your rotary single companions over for a visit in the near future. Do any of the girls drive a 7 or 8? If yes, invite'em to the drive-ins. If no, how hot can they be?

Guys, I logged into the RX7 Meet up site and there wasn't enough interest in the Triangle area to have a meet up. I think this is a new site to help people orgranize group meetings for different things and one of the common interests they are trying to organize is RX7 ownership. We've already got that one covered in this area so I put some information out about our drive-in group on that site but really don't expect too much to come from it. We seem to be doing pretty good as it is.

Whatcha doing August 28th? I keep hearing that you've got something special to show us. I saw Ken's new ride Saturday and if I'm not mistaken the passenger's side looked like it was missing an AE shield. I didn't get a real good look at it since it was after 9:00 pm and was really dark. Hope you're gonna make it to the next drive-in.

 

ok, I am gonna feel stupid once someone answers this question, but what is an AE?

 

its a 10th aniversary(sp) edition. They made them only in 88. But its a turbo and they only made 1500 of them. There was nothing different done to the motor, but it came with black interior, white wheels, and white taillights.

He's bringing his dad out to look at it tonight. Seems to want it pretty bad. Its gonna be sad to see it roll out of the driveway with somebody else driving it. :-(

 

thats good, i think that car is at a good price considering everything you guys have done to it. good luck on the sale.

 

kens isnt an AE but it has an AE fender. we've got a buddy out this way that has an AE with just about every possibly bolt on availible for the car sitting in his basement. steves going over there soon to help him put some of the car back together. its not the cleanest car around but, pretty soon, its probably gonna be one of the fastest!
im gonna be kinda sad to see the GTU go... i dunno why but i love that car even though its not mine. its just got that attatching kind of personality that some cars have. its so fun to drive in an ride in. that smooth rumble that turns into a crouch rocket revving beast just isnt like anything else on the road. after driving that car and sticking with new mustangs and seeing it stomp on a S2000, that car is just awesome. if i had the money i'd damn sure buy it. i sure hope that the car goes to someone who cares about it and wont be just having it to drive. thats a gem right there, keep it clean! hmm... enough rambling, im gone. sure hope the red car is just about gone by now too. im ready to have one in my driveway for a while!

damn, i am glad we started these driveins. free cars, what other club can offer that (even if it is rigged and we know the outcome)
