Congrats, stina! Now just hit the thrift shop for some cheap furniture and appliances and you're all set.
Just make sure that the new place has a garage with a lift in it. That's kind of mandatory now, I think.

A nice turnout tonight with all the visitors, some all the way from Tall'y, Florida. Plus a few new semi locals, from Fayettville and Jacksonville, NC.
Even had a good night drive, except for getting stuck behind a slow car or two on some of the good roads. And the one deer was saw was good and stayed off the road for us

The meeting was awesome. Sorry that we didn't have a Raleigh version of the Dragon, but I think you guys had some fun anyway. It was really nice having everyone show up with a wide range of takes on the rotary engine; from my beater to Simba's RHD mean, green, Lambo-door machine, to Andy's bitchin' FD with a motorcycle battery. Through all this fun there was one thing that I forgot to do (besides take pictures); try to learn everyone's name. In case some people that may see this thread don't know, I'm Phillip, the guy with the white FC and exhaust that sticks out far. I would make this post a little longer, but I have a splitting headache and I'm REALLY tired. Later on guys and girls.

If we do not get enough participants this event will sadly be canceled. This is a critical event to those of us who seek ways to explore the limits of our cars. Interest in this event will have an effect on future RBQ events. Hint: we have big things in mind.
Show your rotary support, Mazda support, or even just your enthusiasm for hard driving. Be a part of the event. Help make it happen. Learn more than you ever thought you would about you and your car. For $50, you'll get more for you money than $500 spent a Frankie's.
If this goes off well, we are thinking of creating Mazda/Honda challenge.

Hey guys... (beware, long post...)
I wanted to post up something that I've found to be very burdening to my heart. I've spoken to a couple of people now, and most are hesitant about attending Deal's Gap due to the most recent dispute over where to stay. I want to speak up and say that I am supportive of wherever we stay. We had a great time last year, and we don't have any other real opportunities to stay together and bond as a whole group. Even if we want to go camping, then I'm supportive of that idea as well.
Nobody should be afraid of going to this big event, just to avoid conflict! We are all mature adults, and I am faithful that we will all have a wonderful time!! I am thinking about the reality that most of us are going up early Wednesday or Thursday of that week to get in some driving and bonding time... which means money will start adding up quick!
Eric, what kinds of numbers have you come up with for each night per person? Is this more or less than the cabins?
Could we all pitch in together to rent our own "headquarters" cabin, so we could sit back and chill there together?
I only suggest that if it is a cheaper option, as well as being closer together as our own group, as well as near the rest of the event.
I don't want the event to tear our group unity apart! I love you guys. Please don't feel like you shouldn't go because there was an argument. Nobody will be given a hard time or penalized for choosing one way or the other if it came down to that! I prefer that we (the Raleigh group) all stay together for this event. We'll build stronger bonds and make more memories. Not to mention this may be one of the last times in a while that we'll be able to gather together, since some of our dearest members may be on deployment again soon.
I personally don't like living my life wondering "what if?" I don't want to look back and regret anything because I passed up a great opportunity. Especially if it's an opportunity to be with my friends.

Nice turn-out at the meet. Sorry that I didn't make it again guys. I really would've liked to see all those cars. I'd have to say that I would really have liked to see that red FD single turbo. Anybody ask what kind of numbers he was putting down? What turbo? Maybe I'll make it to the next meet. When is it?
