I had to post a clean unmolested nearly undamaged vert with a mint interior for over 4 months on this site to get a buyer. I predict you are going to be in for the long haul. Good luck. I almost bought that car 4 months ago until you got it out from under me.

Jesse: I know someone who "wants" to buy an RX-7, but I don't think he actually has the cash. I think he's actually expecting to get an FD for like 3k (and make payments!) , but I will pass it along.
I would buy it with my income tax return...if it were more than like 300 bucks

Nice to see everyone there. We all had a pretty good time. Sorry that I couldn't stay longer, but the folks I was with were kind of ready to go. See ya soon.

Another autocross! No rx7club thread started yet, but here are the details:
http://www.msccnc.org/
Come get some practice, we are toying with the idea of a Honda vs. Mazda show down sometime in the future.

I think I'm just going to have to request at least one Saturday off a month so I can actually show up to meetings, since it seems I'm always working Saturdays now.
I actually spent this Sunday working on the FB! I've got lots of repair parts on the way, and I installed a 2nd gen leading coil pack for the hell of it. Now, the car doesn't run because the plug wires aren't long enough, and no local stores stock the NGK 2nd gen wires. I have to wait for more parts, argh!
I hope to get it ready for the autocross next month.

Hey guys...
This Saturday evening from 5:30 until whenever, Mary is having her Christmas Tree Bonfire on her farm again!
We need to get together at Char Grill probably about 5, and head that way so we don't miss out on the good food this year! Each person is asked to bring some sort of food or drink, ie, soda, cookies, brownies, mac&cheese, etc.
We're not allowed to have any alcohol at the bonfire this year. This is a family event, and we don't want anyone to get too carried away again. Last year we had some problems with certain (now ex-) girlfriends drinking too much, and behaving inappropriately. Mary was gracious enough to invite us again, but she asked that people please be mature at the event. There are children there, and most of the guests are from her church.
Anyway, maybe this year we'll make it to Denny's again, too...
Greg, Gary, and Chris... we mentioned on Saturday that we'd get together to do something... I think this would be fun.
Who all can make it? If you need directions because you are going to be late, then PM me and I will let you know. I understand lots of people are working, so feel free to come by later that night! It will be going on until we run out of trees!
THE BONFIRE LIST:
1. Stina
2. David

MATURE drunks are fun. We just need to remember there are others around who don't want to listen to profanity and questionable subjects. It's all about respect.
I'm so psyched about this weekend! It is going to be alot of fun!

On another note, David and I are going to look at the car again tomorrow... run a compression test, etc.
I can't wait... it's gonna be AWESOME. I'm gonna have a DECENT car!!
Someone at work wants to buy Queso... He's some hispanic dude... (thought that was ironically comical) but he wants to use it for a D/D. I think I'd be sad seeing my car in the parking lot, and someone else driving her!! It'd be like back in high school when you break up with someone, and they get a new girlfriend/boyfriend.
.........Nobody's taking my girl from me.
I think I'll part her and use the good stuff for the black car... and then use the chassis for a V-8 swap.

i am thinking gutted interior. one race seat. flat black paint. FD wheels. fresh rebuild on the suspension and engine.
man i am dangerous. i need another job just for my car habit.
after thought: it would probably be a good idea to check the SCCA rules on what acceptable as far as suspension mods and weight lightening. you don't want to wind up in a supercar class with an underpowered car.
after after thought: maybe we should build it as a club car.

Josh, I agree with your after thought. If you are really serious about going with autocross or SCCA route, it'll be much cheaper to do it right first time by following their modification regulation/rule when you do your mod. Although I am not sure what category a V8 RX7 will be classify in SCCA class....
Note to all, I'm not sure if anyone have post this or not but MSCCNC is going to have another autocross in 2/24/07: http://www.msccnc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1145
Same price and format as last time. It is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!
For the price, you get 10-15 runs per day, first half with instructor (some of them have national ranking) and second half by yourself and lunch is also included.
When I was there last time, I've learned alot and had a blast!! Go to the website and sign up, promise this will be the best $50 you can spend for a day of fun.
Helmet will be provide at the event so all you need to do is to bring yourself and car there.
It's a event good to learn about car control and what your car can do for novice level and challenge enough for experienced.
