Merry Christmas to all from Cajun land! Here's my tally of Rxs on our 15 hour drive from Apex to New Orleans: 1- VR Rx-8, 1- 2nd Gen Convertable that's it! I saw tons of Mustangs and 350z.

 

thanks, yea ive seen your car around. its looks very nice and clean. i didnt know you lived on base. do you know any one else with a t2 in gboro? yea ive been wanting to go to raliegh for a meet but been busy, mabey in jan. ill be able to go.

So I'm from Jersey living in Florida and i happened to be in Raleigh to see a friend and as I pull into whatever shopping plaza it is I see an FC and I decide to pull next to it. Nice lookin car with dual pipes on the back and a black spoiler. Anyway as I wait for my China food, no sign of the driver. I drive to Target to grab some stuff and as I leave the same car pulls up. So me and Phillip ( god I hope thats right...) start to chit chat about Saturday nights and yadda yadda yadda... Here are some pics of the cars.

Anyone want to come help me install this turbo motor out of my new FD into my roller. I have no turbo or FD experience and i'd pay for the right knowledge for someone local!!!

 

Looks like Cary Crossroads, and that also looks like Phil's car... I don't think I know any other white ones that are in that area.

 

Hey so is there anything going on during the day here in Raleigh? I'll be here for a couple days and I pretty much have nothing to do during the day. Anyone have any suggestions?

As far as during the day and not on the weekend, no clue. Most of us are working...(I'm working on that guys.) All right, so we definitely need to make this drive happen this weekend. In other news, Phillip has a GPS system! Yeah, I know what you are thinking...WTF. Cost: $300. Price to features ratio: very high. No it doesn't (as far as I know) track my route and give me a nifty little printout of each turn, BUT it gives me voice directions and it's pretty nifty. I'll let everyone play with it this weekend WHEN, not if, we have the drive.

Ha! You already fit in with our group! Well, I can definitely understand if you can't make it this weekend. Guys we need to make a time to do this. I would love for it to be a Saturday so that we can go to Frankie's and hit the drift track. Nic, you came up with the drive idea, so you come up with a time.

Well, I'm thinking a 1pm meeting at the Char Grill and leave there by 1:30, so, then maybe a 2-2 and half hr drive and head to Frankies around 4pm. How's that sound everyone.

Hey Dave, we are planning a drive/cruise this Saturday. If you're interested let me know. We could caravan out there. Also, our next meeting/gathering is Jan. 13th at 5:30pm. And as for the T2's I know of atleast 3 others on base but they seem to be a little flaky when it comes to heading out to a meet. Or even getting together for that matter!

I guess that's what they call the blind leading the blind. I've never been on this route either. Just have to keep an eye out for the markings.

 

The markings look like Cingular people. They are pretty big. I think I'm going to do a test run before this Saturday and try to get more info as far as where to turn.

well, your an FD LS1 owner now. You can afford to spend money. No saving it for when the motor blows anymore.

I was buying that s14 but decided not to. I will trade you the FB for your FD. Thats a fair trade. Well, kinda. I guess you should probibly give me a little cash on top for that trade.
