Hey, anybody else going to Frankie's Fun Park on Saturday?

Anyone local have a FD transmission for sale? Don't really mind a noisy one or one with a bad 3rd gear synco since this will only be in for a short period of time.
I have 2 FB transmissions and 1 FC trans, but no FD trans!

I wouldn't mind dropping by Frankies but it would be after work. How late is that meet going to last? And I agree with Eric, we should meet out there sometime as a group... SLICK TRACK!

**** I just re-read what you wrote. You can use mine if you want and just give it back when you're finished, no charge. How long do you think you'd have it?

How about this folks...what if we do our regular meet but leave a little early to go to Frankie's and see how packed it is? Not sure if this was already the plan, but there it is. Even if we don't do go karts this time, there is plenty of other stuff to do there that we can do, or we can just kinda hang out like normal. Sound like a plan?

Just don't break a bolt in the waterpump housing where the T-stat sits.

Ok guys. We need to have another drive before the weather gets too cold (ha, too cold for a nuclear reactor on wheels?!). The target drive: Bert's Route. That's right, it's officially named Bert's Route. Why, you ask? I can't figure it out even while staring at the map Bert gave us. It's like a treasure map. Anyway, perhaps this weekend may be too soon for that, not to mention it'll clash with the INC meet (for those of us who are going). Of course RRDI meets reign supreme in my mind, so if you guys (and girls!) are down for screaming around turns on Bert's Route then let's hear it. If not this weekend then maybe next weekend or as a thing to do before meeting at Char-Grille?

hey guys...
I have a black '91 vert in Chapel Hill that I'm considering selling. I bought the car a couple years back intending to 'fix it up.' I drove the car for about a year and sadly blew the apex seals on the front rotor. I, therefore, removed the engine in anticipation of replacing it, but as the story so often goes, I never got that far. I have since gotten married, moved to Charlotte, and frankly don't have time to give it the attention it deserves.
The good: This is a fairly rare black on black S5 vert with low miles for its year. It has a little over 90k on it and the interior is in pretty good condition. The paint looks decent as well... It looks to have been garaged a good portion of it's life. I'll take some pictures when I go back to Chapel Hill sometime, but for now I don't have any to show.
The bad: As noted, the engine is toast... or at least the front rotor. The driver's side fender has a crease in it where some druken idiot backed his truck, tailgate DOWN, into it. The passenger side rear quarter panel has some light scrapes on it where the previous owner backed the car into the corner of a brick building, but these can likely be fixed w/o too much hassle. The vert top has a couple of small holes in the usual places. It does not leak into the interior in a major way, but you can see where there has been dampness on the roof liner at some point or another. Despite all of this, if I were still in Chapel Hill, I would be inclined to simply fix the car (possibly turbo-convert it since I've already got the engine out), but it may be more useful to someone as parts.
Anyway, I don't know if anyone would be in need of something like this, but it's sitting in a garage at one of my father's rental properties and, as I noted, I don't have time for it. As for now, I'm kinda just testing the waters to see if there's any interest as I may end up having to get someone to fix the darn thing just so I can sell it, but I thought someone on here might like it as a project instead. I'll consider any reasonable offer. Thanks.
-jealously wishing I still had a working wankel

Sounds good Bert. Oh by the way everyone (if anyone cares), I did a compression test. I bought a piston engine compression tester from Sears and pulled the check valve. I'm getting ~89 PSI for the front rotor and a dismal ~85 for the rear. At the very least I now know where my car stands. I'll be bringing my compression tester tomorrow and if anyone is interested, I'll show you how to do it if you don't already know.
