you guys only embarrassed me a little. she likes cars and even has a modified civic, but i think few people are quite as obsessive as rotary owners. all in all she had a good time, said she learned a few things.

on another note it irritates me that our meeting isnt until next week. thats 2 weekends between meets. AHHHHHH!!!!! ok i am better now.

I did pass by there though... the FD was there again.. I was stopped at the light right next to the shop.. didn't see a hottie in the vicinity of the place. I'm still at my sons house right now. If I get back early enough to durham I'll swing by and see if she is still there... and invite her tomarrow night. Maybe I can convince her to come pick me up so I dont have to drive the honda!

haha, change the name of the thread to raleigh area mack's and RX7 owners.... wth, haha, i was laughin out loud reading some of these. i saw a sweet FB headed to VIR most likely this afternoon. broke my neck while i was whippin the C-rex(CRX). saw a GXL in roxboro today, an 86 i thnk. the ones with the little rear decklid spoiler/lip looking thing. it had wheels on it and was very clean. i've seen it driving around before but today it was at a shop. i didnt get a chance to stop but i'll try to this weekend.

Just tell her you have a rotary under the hood but the hood latch is broken and you can't show it off. Then you can tell her your TPS went out on you and you'll need a ride over to the drive-in if she could give you a lift in her FD you'll return the favor someday.

Well... I went over to Mr.Engine on my way home from my sons house... Turns out its owned by a guy name Rick. He works at Mr.Engine and he admits his g/f drives it alot.. He had his g/f on a nextel talking about some "yeah all these guys have seen this hott blond driveing around a RX-7"...shes LMAO ..Oh and its not montego blue.. its brillant black on tan int. The FD is a 93 touring Auto. The car was parked in the garage, he let me take a look inside the car.. clean outside..dirty as hell inside lol He said its got a new motor and new turbos... I can't remember if they were brand new or rebuilt...He got the turbos from Jerry @ clean and fast ...ekk... Funny thing is though.. he wouldn't let me take a look under the hood... I said "hey can you pop the hood?" he said "no" I just stood there like ...
Anyways.. Rick seems like a pretty nice guy. I told him about the meets and he said he would come out sometime. Isn't the next one tomarrow night?? I'm supposed to give him a call tomarrow to let him know..

anyhow the next meet is actually next saturday. we dont meet every other week just 2nd and 4th weekends. which means sometimes we have to go 3 weeks withouth one. the horror!!!!

I saw this guy up at Briers Creek and talked to him about the drive-ins. I also told him about this website and discussion. I was in my wife's car and didn't have any flyers or cards to pass along.

He has a Mr. engine logo on the side of his car, right? I think he told me he'd only had the car a short while and had found it at an auction in Raleigh.

Hope he can make to a drive-in.

saw an awesome MB FD on 40 between the 70 & 42 exits today with a Knightsports CF hood, wing, lowered, and i think aftermarket wheels or the stockers painted gunmetal. I was riding with my bro in his Cobra, and only caught a glimpse of it but it looked clean.

Ryan, I thought we had a meet this weekend too, but i guess it'll just give us more time to miss each other.

anyhow, gonna go wax the car in a minute. hope everyone has a good weekend...it's saturday time to go party a little.

no we were going in opposite directions or else i woulda pulled him over. it looked really clean, made me come home and clean up mine, not that it was really that dirty, but a new coat of wax always helps.
