Wow. Looks like I've missed a lot.

Don't know if you guys heard, but I got hit by a 911 at VIR. He started to spin so I chose an escape, but then he over-corrected & lifted snapping back the other way into my path. At one point I had the broad side of a 996 just a few yards in front of me. I thought I was going to hit him hard. Anyway, I chose a poor escape, but and he pinched me off. His rear end came around making contact at the passenger door and quarter panel. Not real bad, but not cheap.

Damn Matt, sorry to hear that. Hope to see it back on the road again. Of course, I haven't seen it on the road in the first place, but I'm sure it's been there, haha. I have kinda given up on the boost issues. I can only hear the squeel when I'm driving it and it's boosting. When I just rev it when I'm sitting still, I have to get it to about 8 or 9k to hear anything, and by that time it's hard to hear where it's coming from. I think I need to get on a dyno just to put a load on the wheels.

Matt: Sorry to hear about the 911 incident. The damage doesn't look that bad but that is not an easy spot for a body shop to fix. The FB is running fine right now, it just won't pass tech for the upcoming autocross because of the ever-present oil leak. Mike's got another oil cooler for me though, so I will just need to get some new lines and put them on. I probably won't actually fix it until next spring when the weather warms up, though.

^No, it's 30 min sessions for 25 bucks each. I'm going but I can't stay all day...I have to go Keri's office Christmas party that evening. But, I should probably make 2 or 3 sessions!

Repeat after me: "Sorry Keri, but the traffic was so bad leaving that I couldn't get out of VIR before 4:30."

Well, that's cool...all us "cool" 8 drivers will be there! I guess we may have to coax the 7 drivers to leave the retirement home to make this trip...LOL! I was just kidding Bert, Greg, Rodney, Johny...and the list goes on and on and on and on!

Do they require driver to wear helmet to run the holiday lap? Can you take passenger in the car?

Then you should appease them by making an offering of calling in sick and autocross in Nov.

DAMN!!!! $25 for a measly 30 freakin' minutes?! $200 for the whole time. That's crazy. Last time I checked, the dragon was free, just takes 7 hours to get there, haha. I'm still planning on going, but I may only do an hour or so. I can use that money for parts dammit.

Last time I went to the Dragon, I think it cost $80 in gas too. And I almost left with a hood ornament resembling a sport bike that crossed into my lane.

Why Pay money to get on a REAL race track? When you can go to the dragon ;

1. Drive on curvy public road
2. follow a motor home over a mountian
3. chance of geting a ticket
4. chance of hitting wild life
5 . drive a curve "off line'
6. chance of running off 5000' cliff
7. Get flipped off by a biker
8. get run off the road by over agressive driver
9. spend 12 times the fee at V.I.R.
10. not send money to a good cause (salvation army christmas fund)

I'm beginning to see your point!

Sorry Ive been up for a while and on 3rd cup of java

All those "bad" things you mentioned about the Dragon sound like challenges to me.
