it isn't the widefoots are actually the braces that hold the swaybars, while the RB brace just runs between them to add support. it looks like if you catch them on a GB, you can pick up steel widefoots for about $200. if i could get some for around that i might be tempted. it's the billet ones that run around $300.

not the ends, it replaces the part that connects to the subframe; the sway bar runs through them. know what i mean?

The cracked edge resting on the red bushing should be attached to where the right green line is pointing.

dammit man! LOL.

This is the RB piece if you haven't broken your original mounts, which you probably havent, then this will reinforce and help prevent breaking.


this is a pic of the widefoot. it replaces your original sway bar mounting points on the chassis. great if you have broken your mounts, or drive your car really really hard like matt.

mainly public roads, but more to know that my car is tuned to it's full potential in case i do want to step up to the plate at the track. not to mention a well tuned suspension is safer in every situation.

i know where you are going with this...and technically agree about breaking the rules of the road. however, i think we both know spirited driving on public roads has an always will exist.

Agreed. Yes I was hoping to track it someday, but it would mostly be driven on public roads, and driven hard none-the-less. I figure if I put in a more aggressive sway bar, the other stock components may not be set up for such a thing and like Matt said, it will wear it out faster. Why not replace it now or soon, before it becomes an issue, instead of waiting for it to break at a possible inopportune time, like when my other car will be down, and then I'm left without a car. I'm just trying to make sure this car is as strong as I can make it, within reason. If the RB piece will only serve as a support to the sway bar itself and not the mounts to keep them from cracking, I don't want it. I'm not going for bling factor, I'm going for what will make my car more durable and reliable. Besides, it'll be under the car so no one will see it anyway, haha.

One thing I've always been afraid of though is if I track it, it will get messed up, wrecked or whatever. But then I figure, I can do that on the public roads so what's to be afraid of? On the same token, I'm not interested in "dorifto", that's just begging for a messed up fender or worse. But time attack or auto cross sounds right up my alley .


And I didn't mean to **** you off, haha. From the way you described it, to me it sounded like it was doing the same thing as the RB piece. Thanks for the pics btw.

the RB piece reinforces the stock mounts, hence making them stiffer, therefore making them harder to break. in theory.

Yeah guys once you get them set up do a HPDE You will learn more on the track than you would ever learn n the street.

Eric its way safer on the track There is a lot of run off room. And the instructors will keep you safe as well as not letting some over agressive drivers get to close.

honestly i was looking at mine and they LOOK in great shape. I think my car has been babied most of its life though. so i am just gonna go with the RB brace, unless i find some widefoots, at a good price.

I definitely want to do some HPDE, I wish I had known that one you told me about was HPDE. I would have DEFINITELY been up there. I thought it was just a race that day. I'm still kicking myself over that one, lol.

I'm not so much worried for me, I'm just worried about damage to the car. I can't wait to get it out there. I've actually thought about just gutting the interior except for the necessities. It sure would save me alot of money I could spend on performance mods.

Yeah I might go the same route. I haven't checked mine yet, but I get the feeling it's been driven like it was stolen for the past two years. I guess someone has been sneaking out with it cause it CERTAINLY wasn't ME , tee hee.
