i talked to the guy, it is a killer deal for anyone looking for a rebuild; it has about 140K miles. thanks for the heads up though.

for anyone thinking about doing an LS1 swap, you wanna try and get a good/great deal on a high mile engine, cuz rebuilding is not necessarily cheap, especially on earlier blocks, you cannot bore them out too much; normally not recommended to go more than .010 over. most of the times they have to be resleeved, or a new block purchased, which is about $1000 either way. thats not to say a v8 with that many miles won't run, and even run well, but it is at the end of its life.

i mighta wound up with a more stout engine after rebuild, but remember when doing the swap you are better off getting a complete dropout. the t56 tranny alone is 1000-2000 depending on condition, you need all the accessories; p/s pump, a/c compressor, alternator, brackets, etc. a good low mileage combo is gonna run you $4500 to $5500. anything below that is a great deal.

We have this for the back of the shirts for now. There will be a small MSCCNC breast logo on the front. Subject to change, but we worked to keep the design simple.

For reference, I paid $3650 for a LS1/T56 combo complete (including all accessories and ECU). Came out of a 2001 Camaro SS with something link 52,000 miles.

Got it from a yard in Virginia, and it came with a 100 day warranty.

yea i guess i was only looking for ones in the 30k miles range. i saw one with 89K go for like 2800+shipping. it is a life vs. $$$. to me half, or 1/3, the miles for an extra $1000, or so, was worth it. however, it can be done cheaper. hell if you find one blown you could probably wind up with a rebuilt/modded engine for about $4K. i just don't want any headaches for now.

i got one with 32K for $4500 with 6 month warranty out of an 02 T/A WS6(not that it really makes a difference, since the difference in LS1s is negligible).

here are some pics of it. just got it today. i am so stoked.

Well if you have to ask..... Then its probably gay.

Example (Does this Pink purse match my shirt?) = Ghey .. Nuff said

You went from being the Allmighty Antivenom " Ill kill any damn viper or cobra I see".
To the 5.7 suuuuuperrrr 7 .

Sorry to drop it on ya like this but you asked and friends are suppose to be honest.

The engine and trans look good and should be a much more reliable and less finiky -sp , but what are you gonna do with all you time behind the wheel instead of adjusting the PFC. you may have to get an x box for the car.
Just don't do the 5.7 thing maybe ls1 would be better.

Good luck

As far as the RBQ shirts go, if you have some constructive criticism to offer, there is time to suggest alternate designs. PM me and we'll take a look at your artwork.

i agree. i was leaning towards not doing the plate. 1) not too big on personalized plates 2)its not really an RX anymore 3)that is 4 votes for the ghey. thanks for the honesty, if i ask i wanna know the real deal.

oh and it is still an antivenomous car, since it is GM powered, and not ford
