I got the matte finished set for the extra grip but lucked out since they still had a few sets with "RX 7" on the clutch and brake pedals instead of "Twin" and "Turbo". They are a bargain considering the quality and the ease and permanance of the install. When you need'em they are what you should go for them.

Good choice, the Durham Bulls or the Drive-In? Yeah the drive-in is a good choice, we all miss you and we need the FC representation.

I moved up here (holly springs) for the summer and I want to hit at least one meeting before I go back to ECU? that and I have tons of questions because I am about to do my first engine transplant... I am turning my s4 vert into an s4/5 vert and I have never done that much work to my car. Thanks

We'd like to meet you and your 7 before you leave for school. If you have any questions or problems you want to talk about or look at this Saturday just post'em up here and give us a little while to prepare, if we need to bring tools or do some research that will give us time to prepare.

make that two down for the FDs. Started installing my y-pipe found other stuff that needed to be fixed/replaced and I wont really have time to fix it before Saturday. However, like Taylor, I will be there in something or on foot.

Rotormaniac, you must be the one I met in Holly Springs with the S4 vert last week. Welcome to the board ! I probably won't make the meet saturday since I have a prior committment that I had forgotten about. Though I may still make it out later. Guess we'll see... Anyway, did you end up buying that other FC you were looking at ?

hmm... haha, well, we've got a few to chose from this week. we've got a special on a white 88 t2 for rent- no front bumper, and you must supply the ATF to get it going. you may want to buy a new set of plugs before you pick it up, you'll need them for sure. no insurance required- you probably wont get it moved out of the driveway. contact ken on that one. a little step up from the special is the beginers ride- the 87 GXL- auto. its for y'all that care for good gas milage. we've got an entry level rental- 87 red T2, just be careful- its for sale. theres an intermediate ride- lil faster than a stock T2- 88 GTU, have fun with the clutch- its a great time. then, we've got the advanced level ride- 88 T2- quickest in the corral, life insurance required, along with a disclaimer that you're responsible if steve kills you for touching it the wrong way.
haha- anyways-
steve said he's not comin, unfourtunately. im gonna do my best to bring the red legend out.
i think me and ken are gonna come down with a few friends probably. i met a new guy tonite at piedmont dragway. he's got a sweet silver S4- i think, GXL. T2 hood, body kit, wheels, streetport, RB catback, no emissions, s5 tails, safc, along with lots of other stuff. i gave him some verbal info due to the fact that im out of all my club info otherwise. all my paper has been given out. he was running mid 10's on the 1/8- he said his trans was about to go out cause the syncros were crap. didnt sound like he was gettin the motor into the higher RPM powerband you have to get into for the NA's to make power so im sure its got some more MPH left.
jeez, i hope theres atleast 5 7's out there this weekend. not sounding too good for car turnout.

Like Dave said, I dont think i'm going to be able to make it again this week. My mom is really begging me to go. If anybody goes out to capital later that night, i will come out there. I'm thinking the game ought to be over about 8:30 or 9. See ya at the game Keith!

I'd consider buying it if I didn't want a T2 and hadn't already said I'd buy that other one to you.. And if I had more money.. And if I perhaps had friends that could pass me for inspections heh heh.
Really nice car though, someone should buy it!!

Bad Weather Possible for Saturday evening
Just got a weather forecast from the weather channel for Saturday. Bad news is that it looks like rain most of the afternoon but can't be sure if it is from thunder storms or a general widespread rain that would really limit outside time.
We have a rainy day meeting site at the Wachovia parking garage on Blue Ridge Road. Here is a map of the location:
We will meet at this location on Saturday, July 24th, at 6:30 pm. The parking garage should give us plenty of parking and protection from the rain. We can still eat at the Char Grill near the Blue Ridge and Edwards Mill intersection. If you're coming in on the I-440 beltline then get off at the Lake Boone Trail exit, go west to Blue Ridge Road and turn left, the Wachovia Bldg will be on your right. If coming in on I-540 you should exit to Hwy 70 and go toward Raleigh. At Crabtree Valley Mall turn right on Edwards Mill and make a left, at the top of the hill, on to Blue Ridge. Go past Rex Hospital and you will see the Wachovia Bldg on your right.
My cell phone will be on all day Saturday and if you have any questions pls call 919-247-3884 for directions and instructions. This info will also be posted on the other threads as well.

At least with all the rain I get to practice my detailing skills!! Always a good thing huh?
Have fun tonight guys, Take some shots of the meet if it is nice out. I would like to see what your cars look like. I can send someone shots of ours if you wanted to see what we would be bringing to the party ( If we move)
I am impressed that you guys think this far ahead and locate parking garages and such to avoid the rain and still have your meet. You guys have the most dedicated following of people I have seen out of just about anywhere, on this Forum espeacially. It gets me really motivated to start up a west side meet if/when we move. And then have a Quarterly( every 3 Months) meet where we all come together and meet.( West -east etc..)

Yep.
Yeah, this is rotormaniac's friend. I'm off of work, and will be driving his 3C up there at 6:30. I also have a friend named Evan who will be meeting us up there -- I'm going to be shooting a lot of pictures, so wear something you want to be seen in! :P
I'm excited. Can't wait to see everyone!
