Hey Eric, if we decide to proceed with the NC RotaryFest I'd be countin' on you and Jason and Nic to spread word at the military bases and in the community about the event and draw as many people as possible from eastern NC. If we do this and can get flyers and cards made up would you be willing to get them out to all the car parts stores, Mazda dealers, etc and get announcements done on post for the event? Any ideas about what would attract people you have would be appreciated.

Bert, I have posted a thread on rx8club. I guess it looks like NC RotorFest is a go. I'm gonna go out his weekend and see about getting some of local autoparts stores and dealerships invovled.

If we are going to do this then I'll start on the flyers. Anyone have any other ideas for a site? Is Saturday or Sunday better for max attendance.
Who wants to volunteer to take charge of planning, organizing, and overseeing one or more events? Looks like tickets will be in th $10-$15 dollar range since we'll probably have to have someone provide the food for sanitation purposes it should be a professional caterer that will provide the cooking.
Lets see what happens.

All this sounds great though. I'll print those flyers off too if you post them on the RRDI site. Can't wait!!

Bert , the idea for the NC Rotary gathering this summer sounds great ! I'll definitely try and be there.
Wish I had made it to last Saturday's drive in. I love that blue 89 GTU !!!! ...
Bert or Steve, i'm getting ready to order my new shocks/struts. Been online since like 5:30 a.m. today reading through archives trying to decide between either the Tokico Blues or KYB AGX (adjustable) units. Either of you guys have recommendation or suggestions ? I'm not sure what you guys are running. The vert is my daily driver...at least till this summer. I have no aspirations of racing or anything like that but I do tend to drive fast/aggressive. I'm looking at adding the Racing Beat vert springs later as well.

Good luck Jesse. They had a trashed out one down here for $375, from a guy that I think was on crack and was about as backwoods as you can get. I'm not sure you would have wanted it though, haha.
Anyone on here with FDs, do you like the Sanai kit? I do, and I want it bad. But ShineAutoProject won't make it if he doesn't get 10 people to put a refundable deposit down. I'm going to put mine down even though I need that money for other stuff right now, but we need about 6 or 7 people still. Anyone interested? Here's the link...

UPDATE
The location of David's party will be changing. As of right now, there is a forecast for thunderstorms on Saturday, May 6th.
I'll be posting the new location/directions ASAP when I get the info.

if it does, I'll see what I can do.

Jesse: Not sure if you want a vert or not, but Ashraf posted a link to an FC vert for sale on Craigslist:
http://charlotte.craigslist.org/car/154510612.html
Stina: Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on that. I can get the AGX's a little cheaper on ebay than Advance's price -20%, but I'd rather get it from Advance since it would be quicker and Advance is an authorized reseller, so I'd have a warranty and everything. It would be a while though since I spent all my money on the RX-7

Christina, thanks for the offer. I actually checked on the Advance Auto Parts website and saw the AGXs listed for the front, but not the rear. Perhaps they don't carry the rear ?.... I too would prefer getting them through Advance if the price is close to the same as Ebay considering it would be less hassle and I'd feel like I have a warranty and such.

EVERYONE: I've got a pair of 5 lug rear vented rotors from Brembo that I don't need. I'm looking for $75 for them. They're brand new and still in the Brembo boxes. If anyone locally is interested in picking them up, let me know. They're in Burlington at the moment.
Here's a link to the rotors.

PM me in the future if y'all ever need anything... and I can see if it's feasable. I don't wanna lose my job, though.
