Check that out, I have been to every meet this year! So a funny story, after I left char grill, I went to food lion (that one right there next to char grill). In line, I met this lady. Here is the dialogue:
her: I just saw you in chargrill, your one of the mazda guys
me: yes, i was there
her: you guys were SO LOUD
me: hahahahahaha
her: especially that blonde lady
-- haha Beth she got you
me: oh really, haha
her: and that guy sitting across from her with the kaki pants and white shirt. His voice was... [she makes this BIG VOICE gesture but doesn't describe it in words]

me: yeah we were. With the guy over the loud speaker and the music and multiple people talking we have to speak up to be heard.

Doug can we start a thread on the RRDI where people who are going and interested in staying at the mansion can post? Lets see how many that are interested then Ill work on the cost. Just Imagine how loud we can be when were by ourselfs. If Greg brings an electric guitar maybe Ill bring my Drums.... naaaa I suck to much and beside I don't think I played them since I got my first 7.

We had 7 7 's and 4 8's a 240SX and another thingy whcih gave us 17 people being there when it was said and done I think. We didn't cover anything but just had a good time. Bobby is right, I noticed a few times we were all talking our heads off and it was loud as hell! I started a Deals Gap thread in the forum on the RRDI site the other day so we could start getting things lined up for this. It was a great first meet and was good to see everyone out. Only down side was that it was so freaking cold with the wind blowing we couldn't hang outside to look at the cars much. A few little peeks now and then and that was it.

 

Me and Johny chatting about Deals Gap and playing music on the RRDI site this morning for about 45 mins and then....

I had a blast at the meeting yesterday... I'm so glad we had such a good turnout for the first meeting of the year! Let's keep it up, guys!

We should also consider doing something afterwards... for those of us who might NOT have plans... hehe... I know you guys with girlfriends have to go home early... haha. But the rest of us without girlfriends... (me, for example...) could definitely go do stuff afterwards... go shoot pool or something?

Me, Greg, Jason, and Alex had an interesting time last night after the meeting, but I definitely think we need to make a better set of plans before leaving. *cough* ALEX! *cough*

 

that was my first meeting, but i had a pretty damn good time, so nice talkin to you guys!

I know im alot younger then most of the people who showed up, but on that note i dunno if anyone would be up for some BZ lazer tag or a drive out hwy 70 to frankies for the slider carts.. not quite like the racing carts in garner, but still pretty fun..

 

Yea last night was fun... It was nice to finally make it back up there... Hopefully the next time I'll be under my own power though!

BTW thanks Carl for the fenders... They look great...

The slick track at frankies is quite fun. Much better than the adventure landing carts and even the other tracks at frankies.

Your age definitely has nothing to do with your taste for knowing what a good time is. My boyfriend is 23, and some of our best memories are us racing in go-karts... but I don't think I've gone to play laser tag with him... yet I LOVE going.

I really want to go play paint-ball. I've only been once. We should all do that sometime.

Our club is ALWAYS open to activities that we can do as a group. I'm sure even the "older" guys (not mentioning any names) would LOVE to go!

 

Yep... does anyone want to do something this coming weekend?? I'm all for going somewhere or doing SOMETHING that doesn't require me to sit behind a desk or file papers... or any of the other responsibilities at my jobs.

 

Friday night - I'll be playing at the Little Bar, now known as the Iron Horse on highway 64 in Apex, 9pm. Be there or be square.

Saturday night - I know this great little club..... nevermind.

Sunday - anyone want to do a drive that morning and/or meet somewhere at a bar or whatever that afternoon and watch the Panthers kick some ***!!!!!!

Ok Greg, I got the green light to go on Friday to your gig at that biker bar in Apex. My wife told me to be careful and avoid knocking over a Harley when I get out of my Rx-8. I told her those bikers should exhibt the same caution when parking next to my car! Don't come between me and my 8 now!

Iron Horse (was called The Little Bar) at 2901 Hwy 64 West Apex, NC!! Old school biker type bar I've played for years where everyone is welcome! We always have a great time playing here! No TV Sports Bar BS, just a pool table, cold beer, deck out back and lots of dancing to some great R&R tunes till they kick us out!
