Well, it doesn't look like I will be able to make it Friday. I have a Spanish Exam at 9AM Friday. It's over at 10AM, but I don't think the car should be driven that far until i have it looked at.

It's bouncing like an earthquake at speeds around 30MPH in the rear, and the steering wheel shakes at 80MPH... in between those two, it's not so bad... but there's something seriously wrong, I think. The tires are only a year old, but I think maybe something more than that is seriously wrong. I'm just worried the car's gonna wreck while I'm in it.

Stupid FC.

Bert, PM me with the info on that guy I should take Lindsay to. She needs to see a doctor (a real mechanic) stat!

Thanks.

Sorry I can't make it guys. David and I will be going next year, I'm sure. Hopefully by then I'll have my hands on a TII or an FD!

We'll see. I'm getting my tires balanced (so it drives smoother) and the car inspected tomorrow... and I'm gonna go from there.

I would love some help if anyone's in town. Especially to at LEAST do a tune up. That might solve alot of her problems.

Oh... and let's have a meeting saturday at the Char-grill, since it looks like some rarely-seen faces are gonna be in town!

What time do you guys think you'll be at VIR on Friday? I may have something I have to do on Friday morning and wouldn't be able to meet you guys at 8:30, but I might be able to catch up at the VIR entrance since I'm a bit closer.

Joey, we plan on arriving at VIR around 11:00 - 11:15 depends on how soon we get to Roxboro andif we decide to eat in Roxboro before heading on to VIR. I don't think the snack bar will be open at VIR from what I remember from last year's event. If we don't get together before entering VIR, everyone will be in the North Paddock Area at the end of North Paddock Rd. We won't be hard to find.

Don't know yet. I'll have to search all the RRDI and RX7 sites we have now to see who id planning on coming and then find someplace that will be easy for Phil to find and us to meet at. I don't know where Phil will be staying yet. I'll do a search and post something tonight.

Are you gonna be at VIR this Friday? Looks like we'll have a pretty good crowd again for the laps.

Bert

What time are you planning on being in Raleigh? I know there are several people that want to hangout for awhile. Just give us a time frame and we'll see who can get together. Those that can will be meeting Phil Sohn for lunch on Saturday.

Jason, have you been to the www.rrdi.org website and registered? We're gonna start moving more of our news and info to that site.

I'm definately going on Friday. So we're meeting at what, 8:30 in Briar Creek or something? Tomorrow I'm going to go get my alignment checked and make sure my tires are inflated.

Be at Briar Creek Caribou Coffee by 9:00 AM, we'll be leaving around that time for the drive up to VIR and we'll probably do an early lunch in Roxboro or pick something up for lunch. Have the car fueled up and ready to drive up. We'll top off fuel in Roxboro as well before heading out to VIR.

Johny, we'll get together with Phil on Saturday if you're able to make it down. I thought we'd have lunch with him at a place called Firebird's Grill in nawth Rawley.

Steve, Fluffy Stuffen', will be in town and several people want to get together for a Drive-In on Saturday. Don't know if you want to hang around for that later in the day.

Top off again in Roxboro? Darn those Rx-7s are pretty thirsty! So for a $25 dollar donation at VIR you get a 30 minute session on the track. Will they allow you another session for $25 more?

You're donating $25 to the Salvation Army, you can donate as much as you want. But for every $25 you donate you get a 30 min track session. They way they work the track seesions is once you get a group together to head out on track they start the pace car and your group starts.

Keith, you and the vert are always welcome. I haven't heard from Phil on where he will be on Saturday but I plan on having the lunch with him at Firebirds Grill in North Hills and doing it around 12:30 to 1:00 pm. I'd love to see you again and don't I remember that you put some new wheels on her, the FC I mean. I finally found a set I liked and now am also running with some updated wheels and rubber.

Please join us, also wanted to remind you to check out the www.rrdi.org, our new website.

You can run as many sessions as you and you're car can stand up 'til 4:00 pm. I ran two sessions last year and that was enough for me but my brakes started fading and got very hot. I got dimpled and slotted rotors this year with some upgraded pads so the car should be in better shape. I am bringing $75 just incase I want a third session.

Topping off is optional, the racing gas at the track is 104+ octane and too hot for an 89 GTU. Yeah, our cars aren't as thrifty as the RX8s. Are you still bring your wife to drive you around the track, that way you won't have to ask directions to get back to the start line?
