The rotary gods hate me. First they blow my motor and then they threw a deer in front of me while moving the car to my new apartment. This sucks!!!

BTW, when is the Grand AM at VIR?

Need leads on a Good State Inspection Station

My car is due for its annual **** exam, State Inspection, and does anyone know a place that'll pass an RX7 for less than a $100? I know we've talked about different stations with sympathetic owners that will get an RX7 to pass the state inspections and I really don't want to pay the place I used last year another pile of money. Anyone PM me with info on some place you've used in Wake Co. that charges a reasonable "technical" fee for the "extra work" required to get a rotary to pass state inspections. This should be the last year for this and I need some help, if anyone knows of a place that'll pass a rotary engine please let me know.

Dan, glad your tranny is in and sorry to hear about the rear bearings. I wouldn't encourage you to take it on a trip that far without knowing how bad the bearings are. They'd probably get you up there and back but if they didn't that's a long and expensive tow back home, it'd probably cost more than replacing the bearings.

Weather Forecast from the Weather Channel for the Roxboro-Danville area calling for 30% chance of rain/snow showers for Friday, high temp for the day in the low 40's. That means a 70% chance it won't rain or snow and cold air - good for turbos.

Bert, wait till january rolls around. Anything 95 and older just has to pass safety and a visual on emissions. I know you got the air pump on there so that should be fine. Do you have a resignator or something on your RB exhaust? If so, more then likely the inspector will think it is a cat. Hope that helps.

Hey Steve, glad to see you're still checking out the forum. Miss you in Raleigh. Hope school is going fine for you. Did Dave get it? If so tell him hi from all us in Rawley and hope to see y'all over Christmas.

I think I'll still have to get my '05 inspection done even if I wait to 2006. Maybe not, I'll check it out with an Inspection station in Wake Forest to see if it would be possible to slide by til January. It is worth a shot.

Bert, my inspection is due this month, too... and last year, I went in this year around January or February, but they still punched it for December... but I dunno... I'm gonna try to just get it to pass... but we'll see.

...So what are y'all talking about for these rear bearings??

Oh, Dlpz87, that's your differential mount you hear clunking when you shift. It's broken. Mine did it last year for a long time before I replaced it.

yeah im ok. I managed to avoid hitting it dead on. Just messed up a headlight and fender.

Oh, and is it your car thats at MM Autowerks? If so you need to go ahead and get rear steet eliminators from Racing Beat. Definately the best $40 ive ever spent.

Somehow I find it ironic that your camo car hit a deer... aren't y'all supposed to wear orange vests or something? Where's the shotgun when you need it??

Looks like the damage wasn't too bad though. Glad you're ok.

Yeah, is was sure a beautiful day around Raleigh, Maybe Johny can tell us what the weather was really like around Danville yesterday. I really hate they postponed the Laps, I know its gonna be hard for a lot of people to get next Friday off as well to go up. Maybe Christina will make it though, that's some consolation.

Are you gonna be at the RRDI tonight to pick up your shirt? I really want to get rid of the shirts and quit hauling'em around in the car.
