Happy thanksgiving everyone, take a few moments and reflect on all the blessings you have.
Everyone of us can be thankful we have an RX7 /RX8 , they are a rare breed these days, some thing you don't see alot of.
Thankful that ownership of this car has brought a deversified group of us together.
The reason I'm up is my Dad called at 7 to tell me he was thankful to have a son like me.
Couldn't this have waited til 9 haha j/k
Take care
Johny

Don't forget there's a meeting at char-grill Saturday.
If we want to do something other than Char-grill on Saturday, let's meet at our usual time (5:30), and we can go from there.

Again... I'll come if I can, but I will be installing a stereo in my bud's T2 AGAIN. This time, I'm going to bypass the FC's crappy wiring and do it all from scratch. He wants to come to the meet too, so hopefully you'll see both of us there.
I will not accept defeat.

i can come but not til after 9pm. you guys think you will be out that late?
also, i have made another cell # change. this should be the last one for a while. the new # is 919.270.6999. my mom is getting the other phone, so unless you want to talk to a 63 year old woman call the new #, if you need me.

Argh, I once again didn't make it, but we did get the stereo installed and working in the T2. Well, except for the right front speaker, as I wasn't sure how to disassemble the amp/speaker assembly, and it was getting dark. But now we have glorious sound! On a side note, I REALLY hate S4 interiors now. I do enjoy the ride and spinning through the first three gears.

It was a very nice, laid back gathering last night. We had a good turnout for a Thanksgiving weekend. I met Johny in Wake Forest and we did a little county driving, gave him a little taste of what we all enjoyed last weekend the we took New Light and Six Forks down to the Char Grill. Marvin and Gary were there waiting on someone to show up and then Greg drove in in the vert with the "top up" for a change. Bobby showed up for the 8 crowd, we always appreciate him taking some time out of his busy schedule to visit with us, nice car - nice guy.
It was a great night, we talked about Holiday Laps at VIR in 2 weeks, it is going to be a great time driving. It is on a Friday which makes some people conflicted over should they work or go have fun for a good cause? That is the answer, it is charity work on behalf of the Salvation Army and it IS FUN! It all boils down to work or drive the rotary, what is the choice here? You get the chance to take your car on a fun drive up to VIR, dodge the county mounties and local yokels in Roxboro, and then get to take your car on track and drive it with no oncoming traffic, in the midst of a bunch of other sports car nuts for as long as you can stand it or for 30 minutes, which ever comes first. After the adrenalin rush is past and the heart rate drops below a 100 you can do it all again, as many times as you want!
We also talked about the Deals Gap Rotary Rally 2006 and how we are going to enjoy that unique experience. It appears that we're in good shape in terms of RRDI representation, lodging arrangements, and volunteer support of the rally.
Just to give everyone a heads up on a weekend drive, Christina has proposed a Christmas lights drive next weekend that all the kids will appreciate, we will be touring Wake County neighborhoods enjoying the Christmas decorations and taking some pics of the most appropriate houses and voting at the end of the drive on the winners in 4 distinct categories, Best of Show, Best Interpretation of a Religious Christmas Theme, Best Interpretation of a Secular Christmas Theme, The Gaudiest of the Gaudy or "The worst waste of Electricity during the Holiday Season". No prizes awarded, just the satisfaction of being nominated will be reward enough. So keep a watchful eye out in your locale and add the worthy contenders in your area to the list. Bring the kids along and let them judge as well, in fact their votes will count double in the final tallies. The winning pics will be posted on their own thread.
