Don't mean to hijack the thread, if that's possible anymore haha, but I was wondering if for the next meet we could make a drive on some curvy roads, or maybe get together this weekend and do it? Is anyone up for that? Maybe the roads we took to the picnic we had Aug 1st. Since I got my new JDM tranny in I'm fiending to get some twisties. Lemme know what you all think.

What's our share for the mansion. Don't figure you want to carry that debt for too long. Figure on Beth and I. Sorry, haven't been following the threads that carefully, so , if you don't mind, would you post up on all of the details once again. You know, dates, times, $$$, etc.
Thanks for sticking your neck on this one, so let us know what you need from us now.

Been trying to catch up on everything:
Mansion is definitely the RRDI's headquarter for the Deals Gap trip and I see that Josh has agreed to front $700 of the cost, that leaves only $1400 for the rest of us to split!:0)
If we can get 20 people to commit to the trip that breaks down to $105 for lodging for Friday and Saturday nights, thats $52.50 per night plus food and this would mean Josh would only have to pay his way. We spent about $30 from Friday night dinner at Sweetwater to Sunday breakfast at Fontana Village counting the Saturday night "buffet". If we can break down the lodging and food to $50/person/per night and $35 for food that weekend does this sound more reasonable for everyone?
David - evolution is the progress a species makes when it evolves and better adapts to its surroundings and is a positive step forward. We are simply helping you to evolve to a higher automotive plane of existence.
Barry - like the pictures you've posted on your site, some beautiful cars.
- hate the haircut, a rotor would've been much more tasteful.
- The Deals Gap trip will begin on Thursday for a few of us and on Friday for the rest of us leaving from Raleigh. We'll probably be in the Hickory-Stateville area Friday afternoon if you want to catch us about then. Just arrange your classes next semester so that you're through by late noon on Fridays.
VIR - The costs for the Holiday Laps at VIR is $25 in cash, check, food, or toys per track session, also remember to bring receipts with the donation if you're gonna do toys or food. And as we learned last year they won't accept donations of used rotary parts. Based on last years trip you'll want to make at least two runs. Anyone strapped for cash could always request an early Christmas or birthday present of two runs up at VIR.
We'll be having an RRDI on the Saturday of Thanksgiving since most of our members will be home that weekend and might need to spend sometime in their cars, with their rotary bretheren, and eat some burgers and hotdogs instead of turkey and cranberrys. What time should we aim for on that Saturday. We could do it early and get some driving in before dark?
Anyone wanting to do a drive this weekend speak up and take the lead. Annouce a time and meeting place and plan a route for the drive.

and... we are still planning to have the 1st Friday in December meet at the 54/55 intersection area... anyone up for a different venue, perhaps one with Japanese food? It's holiday season after all, we should be able to splurge on something other than pizza.
Regardless, hope to see some of you there, since at our last event (the dyno day) the RX-7s were severely lacking... as in there was only Matt's RX8. Come on guys and gals, I'm the only MSCCNC rotary guy to not succumb to the Miata bug (well, Bill R too) but since all of mine are too l33t to actually run, I need some backup!

I'll take charge of the weekend event... cuz I can. Let's all meet somewhere in Raleigh... sometime after 3. LOL How's that for planning?
j/k. I'll post actual details tonight after work. Gotta run. Anyone who has suggestions or any real free time in general PM me. I'll use those ideas to come up with something.
If someone else can think of a better idea, feel free to post.
