Whats up everybody? its been a good while since i've posted. A few updates on my car. start with the bad- its going to the body shop in the near future for about 2000$ in damage to the rear 1/4 due to a genius backing into my car in his own driveway.
Good- i went a new best for the car last night, or should i say 2am this morning- 13.1@105 at freaky friday. i think 12's were a there, if i'd had a place to set everything in my car out(ie- toolbox, cooler, empty the storage bins) and a few bags of ice. i didnt see an import go faster but i didnt get there until about 12:30AM.
hope everyone is well, i was hoping there was a meet tonite, but i can never keep track. i doubt if i'll make a meet for a long while, considering i will be moving to mooresville to go to UTI next weekend. As a result of my edumacation, the TII is for sale. this would be steves old car + lightweight flywheel, ACT clutch, RTEK 1.7 and a few other goodies i think. i wanted 5, but it didnt even have a bit of interest shown so 4500$ or some trades are considered with a little cash(i'd love to have that vert GREG!)

Yes, Tiffany is up and running It seems to run as well as it did before. I do have a list of stuff to do befor she is finished.
(1) Wideband with the guage
(2) water Injection
(3) Back to paint shop small repairs
(4) Turbo blanket or shield wrap for down pipe
(5) carpet shampoo
(6) Install guages , water temp, air temp, wideband display.
Josh please note your air temp compaired to ambiant (normal driving) and let me know what you get. That is if you drive the FD again.

during the day with the temps in the ~35C(95F), on the highway i am seeing temps +5C(~10F) on the highway, and up to +10C (in city traffic), and at a stand still with heat soak i have seen it hit 50C(122F) which is +15C(27F).
glad to hear she is running again. I wanna drop a heat blanket and water injection on mine. other than that i am trying to get a hold of a sanai works body kit, i am thinking it will be going extreme this winter.
the positive side of this gas "crisis" is that soon I will be able to run race fuel w/o feeling guilty. C16 is still at $4.50 a gallon, as of yesterday vs 93 being at around $3.60-70. hell that BP in cary is selling the 100oct unleaded for $3.99.

oh on that vert i was thinking of buying. it wound up that it didnt even belong to the guy. it was his roommates who was out of the country or some such nonsense.
it was too good to be true. it was only $1G and it was in damn good shape. oh well, its like the say if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Guys, I'm probably going to put my FC up for sale within the next week or two, just thought I'd let everyone in here know before I officially throw it out there. Since no one's seen it since last fall (the few times I can make it I've been in my FB) here's the rundown:
91 coupe, red, repainted original color a couple of years ago
Body in great shape for the most part, but has a dent in the fender. I have replacement fender, but never got it painted/mounted.
155k on chassis, 40k on new engine.
Bonez high-flow cat with Racing Beat catback
K&N cone filter on it now, will include removed stock airbox too
All electrical stuff works, except AC (needs recharging I think)
Hawk HPS brake pads all around on stock rotors
New belts and sparkplugs recently, oil changed regularly...I'm a freak on routine maintenance.
All service records from previous owner. None from me since I do all my own work.
Aside from the fender dent and some dings in the door, the car looks gorgeous and runs great. Anyone with a body shop hookup can easily have a car that looks and runs like new.

I think I'll try calling that guy tomorrow Greg, and I'll check out the dude at the dealership Jesse. Thanks for the advice. My mom is going to take the car up to the dealership tomorrow if they're open since I have to go to work. Back to driving the clunker. Hah. I messed around with a Mazdaspeed Protege today, he had a sizeable jump on me, but I started closing the gap when I got into 3rd or so, not bad for an 18 year old car. Not to mention I really carved the curves up and suddenly wasn't a few cars back anymore. That was fun. I think these cars are sooo underrated in terms of handling. Or they're just under the radar.
I can't wait to get mine clean and fixed.

Steve I'll call you on Tuesday and see what's a good time for you. I'll be working from Midnight to 8:00 AM tomorrow so I'll go home get some sleep and call you after lunch. Maybe I can get over there and escape before the RTP traffics gets too bad.
Ray, Yes I replaced my brake system MC a few months ago so I am ready to upgrade to SS lines after I rebuild the calipers and are ready to replace my single pistons with the 4 piston calipers. I'll do it all this fall and be ready for Deals Gap in April. I have the EBC slotted and dimpled rotors on the front and need to replace my OEM solid rear rotors with some vented and slotted rotors as well. After that it'll probably be time to rebuild the suspension and add som sway bars front and rear, new shocks and struts, etc.

lol, the EVO... funny funny. i found out i wasnt the fastest import, there were a few that were faster, they were trailered. Evo came up asking to run a friends STi. she declined because she hadnt been down the track yet. i asked to run him, his reaction was, i want a race.... thats when it got hot, lol. i told him i'd give him 5 car lengths head start and we'd have a race. he then told me he liked racing fast cars. my reply, leave your car in the pits then.. ownage. lol, it was all good fun. and as steve said, the potential of these cars is unbelieveable. my car is stock intercooler, stock turbo(mazda atleast), and stock internals and its got 12 seconds in it. all bolt ons and original motor + rebuild. i dont know why people are so into S13, 14's n such. to make them fast you have to swap a motor. i guess its because they are somewhat easy to find. i dunno, just makes you wonder sometimes. the best thing about makin our cars fast is when someone asks, "what you got in there?!" - 78 cubes bitch!

Hey guys...nopi question. Who wants to carpool with us to nopi? I'm taking my neon so it has decent room for 4 ppl with decent gas mileage. Stina and I have a hotel room about 12 miles from the grounds with 2 double beds. If we can get a couple to ride with us we can split the gas and room cost($25/couple for the hotel and 50/50 split for gas). We plan on leaving at oh dark hundred Saturday morning and leave early Sunday afternoon(I work on Monday). If anyones interested or has questions pm me or Stina...or call one of my cell numbers. Come on down, we're all wanting to see Tiffany again, I'd definitely like to see how the calipers look. Dupli-color has a brush on paint kit that I was thinking about using. How did you do yours?

I used the brush kit it looks rough at first but the paint flows out real smooth
