People were lined up, and when I got my turn, I saw that regular (87) and mid-grade (89) was out of order, and the teller announced to everyone that they only had Premium (93), so they dropped the price to the regular grade price... $2.44 a gallon!!

...So I just filled the 7 with 93 octane at 2.44 a gallon. Teehee. Tried calling as many people as I could... it was about 10:40PM by the time I was able to get my car out of the way of all the other people. LOL... so hopefully if they're still open, GO FILL YOUR TANK!

I never thought I'd see people line up and wait in line for gas at $2.44 a gallon!
Imagine that.

Patience, you are a rotary owner, patience is not only a virtue in the rotary world it is a necessity! The world you now exist in doesn't always work as fast as your rotary world, sometimes you have to wait on reality!
Bert, do you want some help with your HD and drivers?

Got the new HD installed and now loading it back up. Going to Win XP from Me and having problems with the monitor driver. We have a KDS Flat Screen Avitron Monitor, several years old and can't find the floppy or CD that came with it to reload the driver. Went online this morning and think I've got the right drivers for this model CRT. We'll see how it loads up tonight. Once I get the monitor driver loaded and system configuration done the rest should be easy.

Thanks for the offer, I may need your help if there are any more problems tonight. Some day the aliens that gave us computer technology back in the 50's will comeback, disable the technology with their master program and conquer all of the "civilized" world without having to do anything else! We won't be able to communicate, we won't be able to feed ourselves or defend ourselves. We'll be at their mercy.

Bert

Yeah, those aliens had a love child and named it Bill Gates who then abducted a human and took his program and named it DOS, then he screwed it up by abducting more humans who had a vision and named it Windows. He then continued for decades afterwards to torture humans with various abductions and so-called patches hoping they wouldn't remember being abducted or being forced to upgrade against their will. Meanwhile an ancient cult started a little old thing called unix inside of Bell Labs to try and thwart the invasion. For many years they held it at bay in our most vital sectors of our souls but the aliens had infiltrated the very core of our society by offering thier religion with the one temptation we could not resist....the innerweb. Fortunately there were creatures on this planet who could not be tempted or swayed by the mighty evil of microslop windblows and vowed revenge against the invaders. With the help of an underground network and a slogan of 2400 they hacked and coded thier way into a new vision with a mighty penguin as thier mascot. Slowly but surely over the years they fought and thwarted many attemps by the aliens to completely overtake our world. With the help of freeware and shareware, bulletin boards and pizza they continue to share freely the only hope mankind has against the evil race of aliens that threaten to end our freedom and turn us into a mindless mouse point and click society that they can rule without end. Long live the rebellion and support your local linux guru.

Hey guys. I know this is off topic, but there are two free (well it will cost you $1.28 in stamps and gas to drive to the theater) movie premieres hosted by chud.com sometime next month (they dont like posting dates or places because people show up begging for extra tickets). Enter the "contests" here for A History Of Violence and here for The Man. All he (Nick who runs the screenings out of Atlanta) wants is a self addressed stampped envelope and he will send you tickets. Only send ONE SASE per envelope and be sure to follow his instructions . He usually sends the tickets the week of the screening, which is typically 3 or 4 days before the movie hits the theater. I'm trying to get the intrest level up in Raleigh so he doesn't stop doing free movies here.

Now back to your regularly scheduled topic....already in progress!

Thanks Greg, I thought I was the only one who understood what was going on. Whew, glad to know things aren't quite as bad as I thought.

Good seats Cheap, now that is an oxymoron. You might find someone down on the Gulf coast, New Orleans, Biloxi, Gulfport might have a set. Of course they might be a little soggy now. Post in parts for sale and you might find someone converting an FC for racing and will have a couple of seats in their garage that they want to get rid of. If they are in "good" shape they won't be cheap, also specify the color you need and either leather or cloth.

Same thing here, when I went to work (1 pm) gas was like 2.69, on the way home (10) it was 2.99 everywhere. It was funny though, I took the long way home since the weather was perfect and I saw one station (on the bad side of town, mind you) that was 2.79. They were, of course, packed, with people waiting in line at this tiny station. And what do I see? A rather expensive newer Porsche waiting in line...in the bad side of town...to save 20 cents a gallon on gas.
