With all the "call outs" looks like we need to do a meet at a Drag strip. Id be game once I have my water Inj installed, maybe like in late Sept when the weather is cooler. What the hell.
T.O. This is your call out I want to run against your turbocharged 8
ONLY ON THE STRIP I WILL NOT RUN ON THE STREET.

Fayetteville is WAY too packed... I think David has said something to me about Richmond? I know that's a little far away, but we could plan it as a Rotary outing. From what I understand, they're ALOT more organized and ALOT less chaotic there. (He'll see this on here in a lil while and put in his two cents, I'm sure.)

I wish we had a 1/4 here in the raleigh area! ARGH. They nail us for speeding/racing, but they also try to shut down all of our tracks! Gayness!

You can race me man, my clutch is slippin really bad. Oh hey, maybe you can come down to Hope Mills and replace my clutch for me too, since you had so much fun replacing that blown coolant hose .

David, dont worry, she still feels slow as dog **** with these temperatures, but the point is i won't have an excuse. i need to rig up a "cold" air intake for my car. with these temps i am seeing intake temperatures of 50C. maybe we can do a late night run.
Yeah ,we can do a late night run. But just as a little thought for your to consider before throwing any more money under the hood...intake temp problem...remember that as soon as the air from the intake hits your turbo it's superheated in a snap. You'd be better off getting a bigger/better intercooler, or buying the water spray nozzle/nos cooling coil to go in front of your intercooler to cool the air AFTER it's superheated in the turbine to reduce intake temps. Cold air intakes don't help much on turbo cars.

Stina...The guys said Richmond SUCKS! lol, BUT...a little closer to Raleigh is Dinwitty. It's around the 85 58 intersection. It's 1/4 mile and they say it's MUCH better than Richmond for traction reasons etc. Times on avg are like .1 second better there, I think that's what they were saying.

Fayetteville is really crowded on Freaky Friday's, but towards the fall it's not bad at all. If you go on a Friday night when they have bracket racing you can go in between the brackets. You can get a couple runs per hour.

I can't really plan on going that late with my schedule the way it is though Dinwitty isn't bad from what I've heard and it goes EVERY Friday from what the SRT guys say.

The Sunday Fayetteville thing...what time does it start and stop? That might work if Josh isn't too worried about making it a night run.

how much do you want? you can PM me with the price if you dont wanna post it.

david, i know what you mean, but at the same time i feel like if the air has a somewhat lower temp it has to make a difference. i think you are right abuot the nitrous ring though, that would be the biggest difference, and i would get to run a nitrous bottle, for the ricer in me. either way these 100ish degree days blow for turbo performance.

i wasnt thinking so much cold air as much as something that wasnt sucking air right behind my radiator, which is pushing 180-190degree air onto the filter. perhaps just a heat shield would help that issue

Who all in our group is going to Nopi Nationals in Atlanta??

https://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-forum-35/nopi-nationals-registration-438887/

Me!!

Who else?? I'll post a new thread about it tonight so we can start getting a caravan organized. I'd really like to go as a group this year. I went last year with Scott, and had a blast. We went both days, and STILL apparently didn't see everything.

Oh... he's in town as of this past Friday, and he leaves for Japan September 20th. He'll be coming to Saturday's meet, so y'all can make sure you put in your two cents about him getting a J-spec RX-7.

I say we all band together and rent one or two cars to drive down to save on the cost of the trip and gas too. Let me know something anyone that likes my idea.

I don't know who your insurance company is Josh but I have progressive and they took care of everything mad quick yo. The guy came out the day I called the company. I had a check in like three days. I told him I didn't want a salvage title so he played with some numbers to make sure that didn't happen. He even gave checks to my neighbors, the ones with the smashed mailboxes and dented bumpers hahaha

As far as NOPI goes I'll probably be going with the same crew from last year. Me, Jeremy, Rick, Will (guy with the black VR-4), and Steve possibly. Hopefully Rick's FD will be back by then.

it really was just the paint. though it did get some gouges in the urethane.

i have state farm, but i am having to deal with these peoples insurance. it is some company i never heard of. i suppose if they dont pay i can file it under uninsured driver. i talked to their company and they said someone would call me in the next couple of days.

i am not going to be satisfied unless i get a new bumper skin. it didnt have any waves or gouges before, so i dont think i should have to put up with a b rated repair job and you know they are gonna try and give me a hard time by sending me to some crappy, shady body shop.

any recommends on full blown body shops? i won't be using theirs, that is for sure.

i will try and post pics later.

what do you guys think of this rear? might be too extreme considering i will probably only do a 99spec front with feed sides.

so lets talk diffusers. i am kinda digging the RE AMEMIYA pro diffuser.
