My gaskets didn't come in Fri so Im not gonna get the engine in this weekend. Maybe monday. I've got a wedding this weekend so no drive in either.

I challenge your GXL with my brand new 1989 Supra nonturbo. In the battle of the beaters I think a little 7M-GE powah can take you out. Just think how embarassed you're gonna be when my $200 car walks all over you... we can do it from a dig, from a roll, whatever. You pick. Embarassment is embarassment, right?

for those interested in the next event in the endless saga, "As the Rotor Turns" It turns out that my "boost leak" was not a leak after all. In fact the lower boost was due to the extreme temperatures that we have been having as of late. i had to up the duty cycles on the boost controller. i am back in black. i guess, i will have to tune two settings in the boost controller, for cold and hot weather.

First of all, Jeremy and I (we split on the car in fact) actually did have to pay someone $300 to change the clutch master cylinder and starter on it because it wasn't driveable, so it kinda worked out to being $500. The engine was rebuilt 5k miles ago though and the tranny shifts fine. It even has relatively new tires that we will be using for burnouts. I'm driving the car right now while the GTU is still down and then we'll be keeping the Supra at Jeremy's most of the time.
The interior is pretty messed up. You can't see it, but the rear seats have been taken out (not that I would use them) along with the headliner and even sun visors. The previous owner had started a do-it-yourself fiberglassing job that Jeremy and I are probably going to remove, as it looks like crap. The cruise control just broke, and the tilt steering will only lock in the bottom position. The auto climate control doesn't work--I have not A/C or heat, just a fan.
The power mirrors and windows still work along with the nifty adjustable power seats, which include adjustable side bolsters and lumbar support. Basically I've never run into a car with so many luxury features that don't work hahaha.

hell yeah it is. a buddy of mine at work has a supra like that and i walked all over him even after i gave him a good head start. its kind of going to be like a neon vs a FD. but you did find a nice looking supra

Dang, I feel left out. I want someone to race dangit. I fixed my boost leak also. It ended up being a connection. I ended up putting sprung clamps on it. Good luck with the 7m, they are notorious for head gaskets and spun bearings.

Jesse, i know somebody that will race you. I think you might have met him a couple weeks back out on capital. His name is Dave and he has a white TII, its pretty stock from what i remember...

Johny, I'm on a cruiser...the USS Cape St. George...Jesse...I'll race you after Josh stomps me(because if he fixed his problem and I don't have my Stage 1 computer that's what will happen, lmao)...Josh...it's on! for the shape the car is in i think it is out of everyones price range. no offense, barry, but i doubt he will ever sell it at that price.
David, dont worry, she still feels slow as dog **** with these temperatures, but the point is i won't have an excuse.
i need to rig up a "cold" air intake for my car. with these temps i am seeing intake temperatures of 50C. maybe we can do a late night run.

I think the headgasket should be alright. I'm hoping they put a metal one on there as I think the stock ones are made of flimsy paper or something, correct me if I'm wrong. I mean how many problems can you have with a stock piston motor with 5k on it?
Hopefully I can bring the beater and the GTU to the meet this saturday.
