I don't know what the hell happened, one minute the title is in the mail and as soon as I get back from the beach the car is mine, then yesterday I get an email saying that he has decided not to sell the car. So I guess the Red R1 FD won't be mine after all, I am on the hunt again.

Pics from the 8/13 RRDI
It was a warm day for a Drive-In but we had a good turnout and the Pit Crew sat idle during the meet. Here's the starting line-up:
I call this one "In the Beginning . . . "
Here is sinister gathering of aputomotive beauty and power, "Black on Black":
The RX8s were out in force last night, we had a new owner with this sunlight silver 8: J's new ride:
TIGrey was back and beautiful as ever. It was great seeing her and Gary again.
More to come . . . .

THE MYSTERY TURBO!?
So guys i really need your help. Ive got a turbo and have no clue what it is. I measured it with a micrometer today. The compressor wheel measured 60.4mm and the exhaust wheel measured 63.6mm. The exhaust flange measured(from the outside of each bolt hole) 96.6mm width, 55.2mm height, and 107.8mm diagonally. Let me know what you guys think. Here are a couple links to pics of the turbo. Oh, its also an oil only turbo.

Anyway, his screenname on srtforums.com is my_shorty and on here he's phoenix_flame... if you aren't on srtforums yet, you should check it out. Maybe you two can talk Neons... while you talk rotaries with the rest of us! (He's normally the only SRT-4 at our meets... poor guy!) He's also a Navy guy from Norfolk... so he's only down here on weekends when he's not underway.
He's looking at getting a NICE 88 Vert next summer... so we've finally corrupted his piston brain, too. Haha
Welcome to the rotary family!!

More RRDI Pics
Not to confuse anyone, yeah there were a lot of 7s at the Drive-In as well, here is my favorite shot of the night:
Here is a better shot of the all black Neon, I don't remember if it was an SRT or not:
Here is one I call "Want to Race":
DanielSan brought us his Red 87 FC to admire. Some minor cosmetic scratches and dings, but a very nice car with a lot of potential:
Doug & Beth were present with Shinka, This one is Shinka means Traffic Cone Eater in Japanese:

Jesse was conducting a class on how to find your camo painted FC in a parking lot, Keep the hood raised or put a cup on the roof:
Can anyone see the difference?
For some reason this still reminds me of my days at Fort Bragg standing in the motor pool.
The final shot of the Drive-IN is called "All Shiny and Accounted For Sir!"
Great time at the Char Grill and all rotary owners come join us for the next Drive-In in two weeks.

I wasn't able to get a picture of Shawn's FD but he is one of the first RX7 owners to show up at the Drive-Ins May, 2004 when we started the RRDI. He has a beautiful, black FD that has a great story. He now lives in Charlotte and comes to Raleigh occassionally to visit the in-laws.
He was hoping to get a look at Josh's FD after reading about the trials and tribulations Josh had gone thru with it.

Hey Josh, did you happen to be at the Crossroads 20 movie theater a couple of nights ago. Spotted a Black FD from a distance and I was pretty sure it was your's, made me miss mine that much more.
