A running rotary turbo for $800 and a battery? You can't go wrong with that deal. Post some pics when you get it running and we'll all celebrate with you. Great connection!

Got to love those cheap turbos. I got my 87 TII for $1000. It needed a battery but the battery was still under warranty.

Yeap, got to love those prices, but these things can be such a pain in the neck sometimes. Mine left me on the side of the road today. I think the alternator might be the culprit. She must want some more TLC in the garage. I guess its time to upgrade to an FD one. Any of you FD guys have one laying around?

Steve I hope your T2 isn't the jealous type because she's gotta compete with a much prettier white car for garage space during the next couple weeks :P

Actually I got the full car, it's a Red R1, it is in great condition with 90,000 miles on the chasis but has just recently had a new motor put in it, brand new paint job, the body and the interior is in excellent condition, the car is only driven on the weekends ad remains in storage the rest of the time. It is a friend of mines and it original belonmged to his cousin whom he bought it from before he went on duty in IRAQ so I am in contact with his cousin now to get specific details on when the new motor was put in and what mods are done to it. From the outside you can tell that it has got an aftermarket exhaust, wheels and twin K&N intakes. But the car is in great condition and I have been after it for a while, but I am definitley paying for the price for the condition, $17,000, but it is still a great price for the condition it is in. Right now I am just waiting for his cousin who had the title, because they never signed it over, to ship it back from IRAQ, he signed it, notorized it and everything just has to ship it. So right now I really need to sell my TII, if any one is interested, it is a great car, the car is built to be a 600-700hp car it ios perfect for any racer or just a mean street vehicle. I was going to run it in the NOPI drag racing series. I have $15,000 worth of parts for it that are all still in the boxes and that includes a great motor that Rotorsports built specificly for this application. I am now willing to sell it all of for the price of $13,000, I would be taking a $2,000 loss but right now I am desperate to get rid of it all. A list of parts I have for it is a couple of pages back but if you do a search under my name there are a couple of threads about it.

Welcome to our world and glad to hear that there's another rotorhead in the area. We have our Drive-Ins on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month. We meet at the Char Grille Drive In on Stirckland Road in north Rawley. We usually start around 6:30PM and go as long as cars show up and people want to talk rotaries. You may have some interest in parts and the FC you're trying to sell. Good to know you're out there.

We're having a Drive-In this coming Saturday so if you'll post up when you want to join us someone will glad to PM you with driving directions up 64 to Raleigh, then over to Strickland Road.

Heh me too. I should be able to make it for once, although I may spend the night out with my girl since I've barely seen her all week.

LOL, there was a guy that worked at Mr Engine on highway 70 that had an FD. I see him driving around town pretty often. I have talked to him a couple of times, he seems to be a real *****. Anyways, he has Mr. Engine stickers on the front it. You get it now Josh?

Whats up everyone? I know I don't say much on this thread but I will be out there tonight and I am bringing a few friends. well acually just one. My other friend who is also coming has a 1st gen but he is not finished with putting his turbo on but he is also going to bring a friend. So there is going to be 4 of us there driving a rx-7 base, mark 2 supra , and a crazy *** mustang cobra which scares the hell out of me.... I know I don't much care for mustangs but the guys real cool and the car is sick.

As I told the Huntsville group, and the Florida group before them, there is no need to have this thread stuck at the top. People get the idea that you are having regular meetings, and this thing gets posts almost every day. There are similar threads in the NE forum that have similar length and activity that have NEVER been stickied.

Stickies are for regional events onl, i.e. track days, multi-state meetings, etc.

Additionally, if you give me the location and time of the meetings, I can edit the first post in this thread to reflect that, so new people don't have to go digging through 270+ pages of chatter to find the pertinent information.

RRDI Location and Time

That's cool, I think we just got use to seeing up at the top of each page. Our Drive-In location is the Char Grill on Strickland Road in north Raleigh, meeting times are the 2nd and 4th Saturdays @ 6:30 PM during daylight savings and 5:30 PM during standard time.

Thanks for sticking it up for awhile, just made us feel special, that's all, but we all own and love rotaries so, by definition we are special, we're rotorheads!

If you ever get back Norfolk, I assume you're in the Navy from some of your remarks and location, you should let us know. We have some guys that attend the RRDI's occassionally from Norfolk and we'll all get together.

Bert
