*gets squinty evil look* You getting a J-spec FD or what? I mean, what's so special about any other FD bodies?? They aren't THAT different, are they??
They don't have big differences like the FC S4 and S5 do... so uh... I SO missed something!

nobody would be driving the black beauty. all my aftermarket stuff would be coming with me, except the 99spec lip. it would be my car, stock, without the engine(and maybe ill take my tranny too).
in other words its like transplanting this cars heart and soul into something different (i would say more beautiful, but i love my car now)

no not JDM, but it has a few tricks up its sleeves that would make it a little more rare than my car. not to mention stick out a little more. its white, which is actually more rare.

i would be transplanting my existing rotary engine into a new FD body.
lets just say i have a lineup on a show quality, low mileage FD chassis, in the rarest color of all, and i am trying to work out the numbers.

yea he told us. we said we didnt like it so it voids your winning. J/K
christina i will run him after i get the leak fixed. i would like to wait til after i get her tuned. i am gonna take it to turbotune(or something like that) out in greensboro. i hear they do a good job, and their wait list isnt 8 months like rotorsports. then i can run him after the swap, if it actually happens.
my point though was, how much do you guys think a rolling FD chassis is worth. hurt my feelings if you must. i am trying to determine if the swap is feasible.

just a rolling chassis. well actually, if someone wants the motor and the price is right it could go too, but i am def taking the turbo, intercooler, PFC, AVC-R, radiator, and what have you with me. motor has less than 8K on her.

if you could find a good running stock fd motor or something to put in yours and take your motor out and make the one you have now so it was good and running and the price was good and right i would maybe even look and see what i could do as far as buying it and put my own damn suede seats in it

i have started the black conversion, so you could drop em right in. i wouldnt have a stock motor, but i could through in the Rotorsports Stage II motor in if the price was right.
if i did though it would be just the motor, no turbos, etc. so it wouldnt be running. it would be ready for whoever to through their turbo/computer/intercooler setup on her. i think that makes it more confusing and difficult, though.

i would probably say yours in good condition 4500-6000 is the range i would look at for you. if you leave the wheels on it then i think the deal would be even better

it would be rolling on stocks. that is what i was thinking. it would be just a good rolling stock chassis. if it is aftermarket, it is going with me.
i guess i would rather ask you guys vs. making an *** of myself when i post.

Josh, I know that the NCHP firearms instructor was telling us the last time he dropped by the RRDI that he had a white/black FD with no engine and was wanting to sell it. I assume this is the body you're lusting after.
Sorry you missed the VIR trip Sunday, it was a great time and some fun racing action.
