Ok, thanks Bert. I posted this information to the rx8club as well. Maybe I can muster up some more 8s to make it out. I will also pick up some eating utensils if noone has claimed those yet.

Anyone heard from Johny lately? Since he broke his new motor he's been very quiet. But I loved that AE he drove up at VIR.
If we can get all the different series of RX7s together we'll take a nice photo Saturday at Falls Lake. FBs, NA FCs, Turbo FCs, FDs, RX8S, Verts, 10th AEs, Greg said he'd show up in his speedo if we got all the different versions of rotaries together!

I live in raleigh. But I have the problem solved I needed a stand in on my emissions test but I found a solution. Sorry to have confussed any one I just didn't want to up and put a post up asking for someone to do somthing thats against the Law. But I would realy like to know when you guys meet. I have heard rummors from my drifter buddies that alot of rx7 meet at Char-grill off of strickland but they didn't know the time nor the day, so if you guys let me know something I'll probably stop by this week end.

Johny, Good to hear from you. Parents and children, I know what you mean. There ARE somethings that are a higher priority than rotaries.
Take it easy and come see us when you need a break. Diane and I raised 3 kids. They are all survived their raisin' and are adults now but our daughter was the biggest challenge, teens definitely need definite boundries, they'll be much happier people when they grow up.
You know the best prescription for stress? Any doctor will tell you to take two rotaries and call them tomorrow if you're still suffering. So far no callbacks!

Some good news, my GSL-SE is now in good enough health to be my official daily driver again. It's odd, the entire time I've had the car the clutch master cylinder has been messed up, and I had no idea at all. Such a quick and easy fix too.
I don't know if I'll make it this weekend though, I'm off but I might be too tired after running all over NC Saturday morning.

On another note... probablly B flat... Josh and Perky, was just thinking about GRRNC. Do we have enuff details figured out to start a thread on that yet? Or just start it and let the details fill in as it goes? Reason I ask is I was gonna update the RRDI site tonight (yeah I know I've been slack the last month) and I thought if we had any details yet I would put them on the GRRNC site also.

As far as the washers, well that's a question for Steve to answer. I just talked to him a little while ago and he's on his way back home from the honeymoon (they are driving). They're about to stop in Nashville for a bit and I think should be back by tomorrow.

The tranny oil was nasty stuff and looked like I expected it to look. I got it drained and had trouble feeding the new gear oil by a plastic tube down thru the engine compartment and into the tranny filler/check hole. Once I got the filler plugs out it was a very simple job.

I think we've got it covered, I posted a list of everyone that has committed to be there and what they're bringing on the RRDIs in July thread. If you don't see something listed that you think should be included then bring it with you, if not then a watermelon or cheese for the burgers would be great.
See you tomorrow afternoon!

RRDI Cookout
All is set for this afternoon, it looks like we'll have between 20-25 people and there will be food for that many. I haven't heard from Eric and if his car is back on the road but we still plan on welcoming him back to the rotary world. If for some reason he can't make it then we'll give him his maintenace gifts when he does make the drive-in.
Come with your gift and an appetite, there is a nice swimming beach if anyone wants to cool off during the afternoon. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in a State Park Recreation Area so we're limited to soft drinks while there. Should be a great time and I'll be onsite around mid afternoon to insure we can get a shelter.
The area closes at 8:00 or 9:00 PM so we should plan on wrapping this DI up by 8:00. If anyone thinks of anything I've overlooked then bring it along. That includes food, games etc.

I saw a modified black FD heading that direction on my way home. Saw him just on the other side of 540.
Hey Josh, you know i think your car sounds good. I meant to say your car was loud not abnoxious. I definately didnt use the proper word to describe it. Anyhow, i hope i didnt offend you when i said that.

RRDI Cookout
I had a great time, we had 18 total in attendance. I appreciated seeing everyone, since some went to NOPI for the last RRDI. We had several new people there, Gary brought a very nice Titanium Grey RX8. He just moved to the area from Florida so that he could join the group! We also had a couple come out in a beautiful black 8 that they just bought for their grandkids, now how great is that? Of course the grandkids are still awfully young so they can enjoy riding and won't get to drive it for another 17 or 18 years. By then, if we're still using fossil fuels, it'll be a classic, and as awed and respected as the RX7s are today, :0). I didn't get a chance to see the car up close, and didn't take the time to introduce myself since I was trying to cook and feed a bunch of hungry people, but I will correct that oversite next time.
We had a good showing of all gens of RX7s. Jason drove up from Camp Lejeune in his FB; a beautiful, strong running 20+ year old rotary specimen; Carl brought his racing FB; Jesse said he drove his camo drifter but I never saw it,; Greg brought his vert; and Josh and Andy came in their beautiful black FDs. Of course the FCs were all well represented by Eric, my GTU, Mr. & Mrs Smoken' drove up in the black turbo, yes, Kaylee allowed Steve to drive, she is a brave and thoroughly cool lady. With the cars present we qualified for the Purple Ice door prize and in the drawing of the Driver's Licenses Bobby won the bottle! Congratulations Bobby!
A great time and great fellowship as always. The next Drive-In is July 23.
