Nah, I'm afraid not. The T2 I was thinking of getting didn't happen, and my GSL-SE isn't quite in the shape it needs to be in to rely on it as a daily driver.

Hey, would you be interested in buying a 91 similar to mine that needs some work? I posted a page or so ago about a lady who had one but it's starting to become unreliable due to neglect, mostly, but would probably be sweet if it were cleaned up and the engine rebuilt.

On a side note, I FINALLY got the transmission into my GSL-SE! I'm not 100% done, but the tranny is in, I mostly have to just tighten the bolts and hook up all the stuff that goes around the tranny. So close to having that sweet baby on the road...

Ok so I was coming home from work yesterday at around say 7:30PM. I was in the left lane on 540 East near I think Creedmoor road on something. I look in me rearview mirror and I see some kind of red sports car with hidden headlights fast approaching. So I think "hmm let's play a little bit." So I drop it into third and get on it... redline third around 95mph or so and switch into the middle lane, then shut down back to 75mph.

The car pulls next to me, and I realize it's a red s4 convertible. I got a quick glimpse of the driver and all I could see was that he appeared to have a rather prominent beard. He slows down a little bit as he's passing me on the left, then gets on it and passes me at at least 90 or more, then weaves through traffic a bit.

Greg, was that you?

I've seen a red vert over on Creedmore Road several times but it was always going some direction I am not and this was before Gregg had his vert. I also saw a red vert with custome wheels parked over at the Sam Snead Restaurant on Hwy 70 a few weekends ago. At first I thought it might have been Keith's but it had Krager wheels and an old NC State sticket on the back window.

Has anyone on hear used the Sylvania's Silver Star HID headlights in their car? I was thinking about getting some new headlights and saw these at Advance auto last night.

if any of you remember the terrible condition of the bay before you will be amazed bert i know you scratched at the "stuff" and the engine bay it was pretty disgusting. and for those of you that dont remember heres a before and after.

this took a whole bottle of gunk engine degreaser and purple power grease remover

That is an amazing difference. You'll have to get Gregg to let you borrow his tooth brush. The one he used on the vert's engine bay before we went to Deals Gap. How long did it take you to get it looking that good? Did you ever figure out what the stuff was, some kind of insulation product?

i dont really know what the stuff is, but im guessing since it has had a rebuild and was a newyork car it was standard to coat the engine bay so salt and corrosive chemicals would not rust up the engine bay after replacing the engine.

and it took 10-15 minutes i got a really good hose fitting nice high pressure.

yeah he was driving aggressive as hell, and he didn't acknowledge me when he pulled up next to me. I figured if you had been the one driving I would have at least gotten the thumbs up, because you would know its my car by the exhaust.

Glad to hear that news. It sure does feel great when you've been working on something and puttin' a lot of time in and when it finally is all back together and it works, it makes most of the time spent worth the effort. Also you can count all the money you saved and take pride in driving that car.

Oh, just wanted to know who left the RRDI card on my car yesterday? Why didn't you wait around to meet me and formally invite me to the next drive-in?

I was at Best Buy after work yesterday doing some errands and mother's day shopping. I was in the store about 20 minutes and when I got back to the GTU I found the RRDI business card on my door. Who did it? I checked the parking lot and didn't see another RX7 or 8 anywhere. :0)

What, did you use your last one yesterday? Remind me and I'll give you a few at the next Drive-In. Anyone else need some more RRDI cards? Anyone give their last business card away yesterday?
