That'd be awesome if you could fit that in there. Aside from the fact that you could afford it first... I'd be willing to help.

He is one of the guys who works there, I forget his name. It's funny when I ask for specific parts for my car the manager yells for him and asks him a question that's rotary-specific, then the guy reminds the manager (again) that his car is a 12a and both of mine are 13b's, so he wouldn't know.

I found a new house to move into this morning, the place is HUGE (for me, that is) Best part is the owner just handed over the keys and said we'd worry about deposits and stuff later. It doesn't have a garage, but it has a nice basement area that would be ideal for storing large car parts that aren't currently on a car.

well your help is appreciated, and may be needed once the project gets going this summer.

but ray i noticed that you were pretty interested in the swap tonite. and heres a bit more details on it:

i am using a stock northstar from a 95-99 cadillac, and i will then have ordered eagle H beams, 11:1 CR pistons, 288 deg cams and some head clean up all resulting in about 400~450 crank HP.

and the actual mounting of the engine will be a total work of art by that i mean a PITA. and i also have to source a tranny that will fit a spread bolt bellhousing and that will fit in the same general area as the rx7 tanny. and then its pretty much an LS1 swap but with some originality to it.

and im glad that most everyone at the meet was open to the whole idea of me swapping in a V8. and wasnt trying to tout a whole supremist motoring ideal. gosh just a bunch of great open minded intelligent people!

AND for some of you that are thinking of going turbo i have a treat for you, once the summer rolls around i will be having to pull out my old Tii motor and tranny. so that means an ENTIRE swap that includes everything tranny, driveshaft, turbo, TMIC, all piping, radiator, all the nuts and bolts, oil cooler, and any of the little gadgets that make a turbo engine bay different from an NA engine bay. so look forward for that going up for sale guys.

It was good to see everyone again .We had an exqusite ride home I know we hated the cold air but "Tiffany" loved it, and knowing she was happy made me happy. It seemed to run better and better. Today I will go and try the timming issue for the 100 th time.
I may be calling you soon Steve if I can't get this worked out.

Josh; Did you get regestered for VIR? I see there full but may add more spots.

Everone take care, I'm off to buy another FC. J/K

i didnt make it in time. so i am waiting to see if they will add the extra spots.

Johny, your car looked really good. Your guy did a great paint job. With my eagle eye I did spot some of those "defects" you were talking about. All of them are pretty minor. Are you still gonna have him redo the car?

I got the timing set today Thanks to STEVE-O . It runs a lot better also almost 1000 miles on her. Stand by for boost!!!!
I forgot to mention we got stalked by a ricer in a RSX with a screwed up bodykit on it.
The wife "get him, get him dont let him get away with that ****." She's so funny now I know why I don't let her drive down.

Take care
Johny

As you can tell from me not being at yesterday's meet, the GSLSE tranny swap isn't going as planned. a 4 hour job so far has taken 2 days and it's not done yet. I hope to have better news tomorrow.

Lee, welcome back to the real world, it'll take a few weeks to readjust to reality after spending just a few days at Fontana. How many runs did y'all make? Did Linda drive the Dragon?

I know the roads I use to drive around here that were fun just don't hold the same enjoyment as they used to. Can't wait to see your photos.

My son Craig shot a lot of incar video that should be really cool. I'm not sure how to share that. I think he can post it on his site and if so, I'll link you up.

I may be getting another RX-7 this week. Actually it's my girlfriends but you know I can't leave it alone. It's an 88 FC S5, it's the base model. The engine runs fine, the body is perfect not a single dent or ding in it, the interior is stripped so I am going to put everything from my Turbo II interior into it. It needsd a new paint job bad, and I mean bad, but besides that it pretty nice. It belongs to a friend of my friend and he said he would take $300 for it. Even if it needs some paint that's a great price for a straight body and a good engine.

Nice! I'm glad you were able to find her the FC you've been looking for. It'll be good to see another one on the streets around here.

I'm leaving now to finish the tranny install on my GSL-SE. Please pray for the safe return of my car. Cause if I can't get it to work... it's sledgehammer time!
