Still going to Deals Gap this weekend. John , Craig, and I will caravan up. I think I can keep it on the road up there. I'm taking my new drool cup along.

Johny, I been meaning to post this but forgot until now, I checked on the house we were talking about renting for next year's TOTD Rally. The receptionist at the front desk at Fontana said it wasn't theirs, they don't have anything that big.

There is one on TTOTD web page with all the RX8's around it.
I installed some of that pretty mesh in my grill this weekend. After a test drive I came home and ripped it out it must have raised the engine temp 20 degrees or more (stock Gage) I haven't installed my autometers yet. I guess I'm not a "ricer"cuz I dont care if anyone likes my big open grill, but I won't do that to my Tiffany.

who needs grills, screw the grills, go grilless.
i haven't been able to start cleaning up my wiring/hoses, because I can't get the damn turbo elbow to stay on. I've been wanting to create some ducting, heatshields, as well as install my coilovers. I think I have problem solved though. So maybe I can tackle some of those problems this weekend.
either way the car is running so it will be out this Saturday.

Jason, sorry to hear 'bout the fan, did you spray wash the engine bay? I would've thought that thing was weather proof since it has to eat a lot of water when you drive in the rain. You just need to replace the motor, right? Last time I saw your car it sure looked pretty clean to me.
Johny you're gonna bring pictures of the new lady? Tell me its an FC and you haven't gone over to the dark side.
Diane said that anytime Karen wants to come to Raleigh with you we can meet early, eat dinner and they can go shopping or to a movie, while we stand around the parking lot and look at each other's cars for 3 hours.
How could you possibly shop for 3 hours?

I mean, think of what you can do for 3 hours:
Hang out with other RX's and eat yummy burgers
Wash/Wax the car
Install that part that you ordered a month ago but haven't gotten around to putting in
Flip through the Victoria British catalog (FB owners)
Lovingly caress the RX-7 that you love so much but isn't currently on the road
Install my tranny for me
...the list goes on.

Here is your first look at "Princess" she is a A.E. with 72k miles on her she is almost perfect. I picked her up from Gastonia NC today.
Since Steve comes up here and buys Va cars I shall return the favor.
See you tomorrow, Me Tiffany and Karen will be there

Very impressive. The original window sticker is also nice... I can appreciate little things like that as a history major. I see that AE costed about $25k back in '88, which is ~$40800 in today's dollars. So what are your plans for it? The AE looks so nice stock... I think it'd be a really good car just to cruise in a little bit on weekends since it's so clean.

I don't think Im going to put licence on the new A.E. I want to store her and bring her out for special occasions, Maybe run her a little once every two weeks or so. I had planned to sell the other project A.E. but now Im going to keep her and start restoration after I finish my T2. All she needs after the break in is a microtech and maybe some Sparco seats the Ill start on the A.E.
"Princess" needs a A.E. shift **** and needs the seats redone, thats all to have her in "mint" condition

you know johny it is just an obsession now. there is no sense to it. i think what might help you problem is to donate one of them to me. yes it might hurt at first, but in the long run it would do you some good.
seriously thought, that is a nice addition to the stable.

Diane asked me tonight if Karen was coming down. Let me know when you'll be in town and we'll meet you some where before the drive-in. If not I'll see y'all there.

Well, it looks like I probably won't be going to the drive in tomorrow night. The tranny swap in the GSL-SE didn't go quite as quickly as expected. I have everything apart right now, just need to put it all back together.
When I pulled the old tranny apart, little pieces of gear fell out. I'm guessing that was my non-working fourth gear. On a more positive note, even after being dormant all winter the engine was running strong. In need of some spark plugs, but very strong.
On a side note...does anyone need the remains of a totally thrashed transmission? What I'm going to have left is the remains of a GSL-SE transmission, with the tail housing removed, and a tail housing (minus shifter) from a 91. (I'm putting a 91 na tranny in the car) I was planning on rebuilding it and putting it back in eventually, but I have to move in a couple of weeks.
