What is it called?? I might get one from Autozone, if my dad can't remember to get one out for me before he goes out of town.
Before I go brake shopping tomorrow, does any of y'all have 4-lug rotors that are in good condition to let me buy off ya for a decent price?

Allright guys, I'm asking for some help..... Again.....
I'm still looking for an FC (preferably turbo but can be otherwise if price is right ).... Anywhere in NC would be fine, but close to Charlotte and Raleigh would be better... The car MUST run, preferably no mechanical problems at all..... Budget is about $4k, preferably lower, of course.... If you guys know of anything that matches this description please let me know by either PM or posting it up in here....
Thanx again.... I'll pay you back with e-cookies.... Freshly dl'd e-cookies.....

You may want to check with this person below, his name is Sam and he is in Greensville NC, not sure if the car is still for sale but hope it helps. Andy
'88 Rx7 Turbo II
112k mi. last owner had it since '90
every receipt, even oil changes, since '91
black/grey
Grey leather 'vert seats
minor dings
Racing Beat DP/presilencer
RB FCD
JDM HKS TT (came in on a front clip)
Alpine cdm-9801
Autometer Air/fuel guage
new brakes front and rear
fresh tune up
HKS Super PowerFlo intake
Falken Ziex 205/55/16's mounted on 16x7 Prime wheels (nice looking wheels)
Power everything (everything works except sunroof, broken cable)
Now the bad;
Car runs great cold or hot, and idles fine. However, on hot start it tends to flood. I know the primaries are leaking fuel b/c of the air/fuel mix at idle and the fact that the idle mixture screw has no effect on it. The engine tested at 85psi front and rear, which is low but like I said it will hold a 500-750rpm idle very smoothly.
2nd gear can be notchy at times, but I've traced it back to a clutch issue.
Pics can be viewed here;

email for further questions, thanks guys.

All FC's have single piston calipers in the rear, I believe.
You don't need a special tool for the rear, you just need some needle nose or snap ring pliers. Basically you put the plier in place and rotate it (I forget if it's clockwise or counter) until the piston goes down enough for you to put the new brake pad on.
Perky, you may want to think about trying to do the back brakes all by yourself as a learning experience. Maybe have someone who knows what they are doing around just in case. Really, it's one of the easiest things you can do on the car, once you know how it's put together it takes longer to jack up the car and take the wheels off than it does to actually replace the pads.
On another note...
Even though my FB is still awaiting the transmission transplant surgery, I seem to have run across some good deals on audio equipment. So yes, that means I'm going to have a fairly kick-*** sound system (better than the one in the FC) in a car that I can't drive around in at all.

I hate to do this but I wanted to remind everyone that we are having a Drive-In on April 23, same place. Need to remind everyone as well that the time will be move back to the DST starting time of 6:00 PM, that means the FD's will show up between 6:30 and 7:00 PM.
By the way anyone remember what groups showed up late on Friday night at the Sweetwater BBQ in Robbinsville? All except for Rick and Jeremy.

I am going to play the game. It was the groups with an FD majority that showed up 2-3 hours late.
You know we are running up on the RRDI one year anniversary soon. Kinda cool.

Josh is helping me Sunday... so I think I won't have any problems getting it done. He and I will also be brainstorming and planning GRR, so if y'all have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to PM one of us.

Thanks for the reminder Josh. Maybe we should have cake at one of our May meetings to commemorate that milestone?
I still haven't come down from the mountains yet. That was the best time I have had in a long time. Great fellowship and great driving. Those of us that went can better appreciate the group of guys and gals we have. I think we are all closer now for going together and I can honestly say that for sure we have a great pit crew to travel with. That was a great event to kick off this year and the beginning of our second year as a Rotary group.
Here is a copy of the commendation letter I just wrote to the NCHP, see attachment.

WannabeFC,
Steve (Smoken')'s old Turbo II is up for sale I think, or so he told me a few weeks ago. The current owner is asking $3500 for it. The car has been in a fender bender and needs repainting (bumper and hood have been replaced but not painted), although there was no serious damage. You could take it to the guy who repainted GTUser's and my car.
The thing is FAST, at least for a stock turbo. Steve ran a 13.3 on it. The new owner has since had the clutch and differential mount upgraded. The car put down 250rwhp and 280rwtq. This may be out of your price range after getting it repainted... but holy **** that thing hauls. I'd like to see that car go to a good new home.

Bert,
That letter to the po-po is cool Im glad you think of doing stuff like that, but you did forget to mention you and that guy (311) or something like that passing in a no passing zone. and while we are on the subject Don't be afraid to call this guy out we got your back, so he passed you on a public road big deal; Lets get him at VIR and see what happens.
Johny

New Wheels on the Vert
Keith, saw the picture you posted on the thread asking for RX7 pics and those are really nice wheels, really make that red convertible look very sexy. Can't wait to see them in person. We are gonna have a great drive-in on the 23rd if everyone can bring their cars in. Josh will have his FD back on the road and ready, Johny has a rebuilt motor and freshly painted FC, TO has two great looking cars and RX8 and an FC with new paint, Ray should have his out, the first time I'll have seen it with its new paint and maybe capn will have his 10AE with a new fender on it. Greg has a "new" red vert he took to Deals Gap but hasn't had it to a drive-in yet. It will be great to see so many cars and hopefully everyone else.

GRR Tshirts, trying this again
Went to a screen printing shop in Wake Forest that can do our GRR T-Shirts and he will do the GRR logo on black shirts with the Bahama logo on the front. We will keep the GRR Logo on the back and will change the smaller logo on the front of the shirt. It will run $10 for shirts up to XL and $12 for XXL and larger. We'll have to print 24 shirts minimum and we can save some money by doing both orders together with the backs printed on 48 shirts and wait to get the front logos printed on this years shirts when we decide on a logo design for the 2005 GRR. That is an option that we can talk about.
I have the sizes and requests for last year's GRR shirts but just to be safe please let me know what size you want and if you'd need more than 1 shirt. I only have committed orders for 15 shirts at present so there will be some extra and anyone that wants one needs to tell me by next drive-in on April 23.

since only johny posted. i got to drive my car for the first time at a full 16PSI last night and almost **** myself. It will burn 1st gear and has so much accelaration in 2nd that you can't breathe Maybe that was all just the excitement of driving it for the first time, but the 1st gear thing wasn't in my mind.
