Barry started it but he won't be around very much and I guess you and I will have to continue his work.

RRDI this Saturday at the same place, same time. Char Grill on Strickland Road at 6:30 PM. We're trying to update our membership list and are taking pics of owners and their cars for the Greg/RRDI website. If you want a good picture of you and your car added to the RRDI membership page then come to a drive-in and we'll take one or post one up on this thread and we'll add it to the collection.
We'll be talking about the upcoming Grand Rotary Rally of NC coming up next month and what we all can do to make it happen and exceed last year's gathering.

RRDI Today
Just a reminder that this evening at 6:30 or so the rotary owners of the triangle are invited to the Raleigh Rotary Drive-In at the Char Grill on Strickland Road in north Rawly. All rotary drivers are welcomed as well as anybody that loves sports cars and driving them.

We had a great turnout for the Drive-In last night, I counted a total of 18 rotaries came in and we had a couple of non-rotary visitors as well, here is the starting line-up:
Here are four of a kind, RRDI rotorheads, you just can't beat a hand like that:
Freshly back from the sands of Kuwait, Eric J. made it to the Drive-In, it wasn't enough to just come to the meet and get reacquainted with everyone he had to conduct a hands on class in replacing an FD coolant hose:
We had a record 4 RX8s show up last night. I was also able to get some cars & drivers shots to expand the membership album. Here is Jon's brand new, fresh off he lot less than 24 hours RX8:
This was the second DI for this Black Cherry 8, it kindly brought along both of its drivers Beth and Douglas.
Bobby was there as well with his always classy silver beauty:
and the 4th RX8 last night was also attending its second DI with its driver, Gary:
. . . . . more to come >

More RRDI photos
and to round out the dozen FCs that made it out is a couple of pics. The first is Mike's 86 with the unique license plate and the second picture is that of Eric C's 87 FC.
And to conclude with a happy ending is a parting shot of Eric J. and his two favorite things:
It was a great drive-in and I got a lot of commitments for shirts and interest in caravaning up to VIR Sunday August 7 for the Oak Tree Nationals. More to come on that later. The highlight of the night was Eirc's class and practical exam. We pulled together as a club fixed his problem and all had a great time. Post up if would like to go north on August 7 and send me a PM if you want to order some RRDI shirts.

Eric you're welcome, if law enforcement calls I've got my story already. "I have no idea who that guy was, he was walking thru the parking lot and just stopped to admire the beautiful gold FC."
I can see that Jesse jumped in to get some free advertisement for Sports & Compacts and Johny was doing a Virginy Moon job, I know, butt that's how they moon you in Virginia, its called a new moon.
