Its true...
Hello everyone....
I am amazed how news travels quickly...
The thruth of the matter is that I am stepping down from the SOFLA RX CLUB.
Since its inception back in March of 2005 it has been quite a feat to organize events related to the rotary community. As much as I have enjoyed getting together with many of you on different levels other than with the RX's it has come to the point where the added responsibility of running a club has been too overwhelming to say the least.
My vision was to create an organization that would cater to all owners of rotary powered cars most of which have been from the Mazda family of cars from the R100 to RX-8. I have had my fair share of drama on this forum either where I have been the recipient or even the initiator. For a time I left the forum and only delved with the matters that were pertinent to the club such as aiding in its growth, expansion into other areas and having some kind of representation by way of shirts.
The Pit Crew shirts ordeal was very frustrating essentially because of the botched first order and then to be scrutinized overwhelmingly by one individual on more than one ocassion. All of which was unwarranted. I was transparent with all of you and kept everyone up to date on its status thus to be able to convey and promote harmony. I know that at times i lost my cool and I apologize for those persons like Shayne who had to bear my harsh words.
After some time I appointed officers so they can share some of the weight that i had to undertake and they are very good people and well respected in the RX community. I want to thank them for their participation and assisting me when necessary.
Organizing events may seem simple to some but if it is that simple then why havent we had an event since May ?
I really cant afford at this point to invest more time into it which has taken away from my ministry. I will be ordained as a Pastor within the next two months and I have certain priorities on a family level as well as professional level that have taken rest and I need to refocus in those areas.
I am not sure who will take over the SOFLA RX CLUB or who would be willing to accept this responsibility. In the next couple of days or weeks I will be discussing with the officers and some veterans as to who that person may be. I will remain on here as only to advise but will not be a part of the meets. I may drop in from time to time but probably not in an RX7 since I am selling all three of them.
Thanks to all those that have supported me from the beginning guys like Phil, Joe, Carlos Lopez, Ismael, Devin, Abel, Frank, Vilmarie and Simon.
Be well and Be Blessed,
Val

oh no what ?
Perhaps crybabies was a bit too harsh a word. Come to think of it that is what i was called or rather referred to as. Oh well... I look forward to the day when i will be done with the forum altogether and not have to be part of any drama... its peaceful this way.
I will be at peace
