Hey I was stuck in Parris Island for a while saw a nice FD not sure who it belonged to but as a recruit I couldnt ask. Now im stuck in Pensacola and was lookin for someone cool to hang out with.. hit me up on here or on myspace/garlandrx7

If you're in pensacola for school, Odds are you're gonna end up either in cherry point or New River if you dont request (and if you DO get it too lol ) overseas.

i tell you what , i just got out last month and i enjoyed every day i was in, my key advice is DEPLOY as much as you can and dont get stuck in the USA, if anything go to Okinawa- the best marines come from oki everyone knows that

i lost count of how many countries i went to, but if you stay in thestates the only place you will be going is to the desert and back, trust me you dont want your enlistment to be like that -TRAVELTRAVLETRAVEL

I will be back down to pensacola at the end of october for another school. Yippie I cant wait to do marching and other things the navy has no clue about! But Tampa not that far so if I can I will meet you guys in tampa if you have a meet in november.

 

There are numerous RX7s here in Pensacola , FBs , FCs , and FDs ... there's a shop here called "Fighters Garage" you may want to check out if you need anything done to , or for your RX7 ... their Mechanics are the ONLY folks anywhere near Pensacola I would trust with my car ... all 3 mechanics are RX7 owners , and have had them for many years ... check 'em out

 

good to know! I might go check them out, i usually do most of my work at the hobby shops on base. Cant beat the price and just about any tool you might need.

 

Where is that fighters garage? I just came here for a month right off of mobile hwy and marlane rd. Had to leave the 7 in pc though so I am pretty bored.

 

They have JUST moved to a much larger , better shop ... off Pace blvd. across from B&M Starter and Alternator ... jl1rx7 , I hear ya on the Hobby Shop ... if you need Tech advice or anything , each of those Mechanics down there are RX7 gurus , just ask 'em anything , NO joke ...

Fred thanks for the info, always good to know. Since most people have no clue what our cars are. And Garland how long are you P cola? Maybe hopefully some other people will want to have a meet in november.

 

i have no idea how long I am gonna be here... im trying to get to go home for 3 weeks sometime soon but i dont know if thats gonna happen and i could be here anywhere from 2 months to 8 months at least.... but seriously i am allowed off base next weekend (im going skydiving) and really really wanna check out some cool stuff!

 

my ex lives in pensacola.. i also think there is a guy on here that has a fd that lives there. remember seeing him post.

 

I drove by a house that had a clean fd in the garage. Can't remember where though being I was lost to begin with.

Garland, What is your MOS? If you are going to be there that long it must be electronics of some sort. Thats what I did for my go around in p cola. If you want stuff to do be greatful you werent there after ivan. Then there was nothing to do. But if you want to travel mobile is not to far and can be fun. Or if you stay local seville inn for the hotel and seville quarter or captain fun are always good times. If you are feeling frisky new orleans, panama city, tampa are all not far away.

 

Garland , where are you going skydiving ?? ... is it over in Alabama ?? ... if it is , you will jump onto the beach at my Bar , the Florabama ... I'm the Bartender on the Top Deck Bar , stop by and see me ... CHEERS !! ... there are at least a dozen or so FDs in Pensacola that are RUNNING , several that aren't ... we're going to have a meet sometime in October ... I dunno... somewhere that they are taking us. But if its there then I will stop by. And whoever has the FD or any 7 lemme know, im allowed off base next friday and wanna find something cool to get into! But if I am here for the meet in October, I am definetly down if you guys will let me hang with yall!

Got ya, most of the marines I knew were all AT's we had 15 of them and six squids. I miss those marines, we always had fun!
