Hey everyone. Just a little update on the FB. I got the carb stripped and rebuilt by Sam the man and swapped him a S4 n/a tranny for a ported intake manifold, and the carb work. Also picked up a RB header from him. Needs TLC but it will be sweet!!. As well I grabbed Stu's old Mazdaspeed muffler Coming along.
Got it up and running the other day. Still have to adjust the accelerator pump to cure the stumble. Then get it registered and drive it for a while to shake it down good. Also performed the second gen coil mod. Now some in depth cleaning is needed.
I'll post some pics of now and later post cleaning in a day or so.
See ya soon. Oh, Any of you guys that got the track bug at ZF, There is a track day event weekend at CMP October 11-13 I believe. ( Carolina Motorsports Park) 325 a person for 3 sessions a day for 2 days with instructor.

Holly, just a little clarification, before you run off thinking we're ALL careless. Michael's hub isn't studded, so that's his 12A car, which also needs a new axle. He said he was replacing the hub/rotor (they're both the same piece, right?) and that the car was off the road. He didn't tell us about his problem until he was already home.
So, Michael, what makes you think that you need a new axle housing and bracket, and what bracket do you think you need?

Hey Michael! (Michael I, not Michael II). It would be great to see you. I know it a bit of a drive for you Carolina boys but remember getting there is half the fun. And this looks like it could be really big with all those boingers running around, a great opportunity to show why rotaries are superior.
And Michael II, don't take Holly's comments the wrong way, she's our official Safety Officer and Mom, so it's her job to scold us when ever we do anything wrong (which is pretty much all the time).
Also that's not a bad idea about meeting early, the boingers are planning a 3:00 pm start time but I don't see any reason we couldn't move it up a bit, say to 2:00. That way we can get all the good parking spaces.
Dave nice work on the FB, I can't wait to see Stu's fart can on there. If you can get it road worthy by this weekend a trip down to Fort Yargo would give it a great shake down.
So Mike (Mike, not Michael) are we meeting at the Winder Jeffery's, the cheese place, or what? And When?

Ray, heres a mileage goal for you. 1.3M miles. They did say he's rebuilt the engine, trans etc. So your goal should include no rebuilds.

Yep I saw that Tim, watched the video too. He says "it's never broken down" but he's had the engine and transmission rebuilt several times (big V8, automatic, read more bucks for one rebuild than I have in all four of my GSLs). And driving a behemoth like that has got to be any but fun, kind of like you are registering for the retirement community the day you drove it off the dealer's lot.
Now a 12A with 1,000,000 miles on it would be more interesting. Mike is well on the way, with 250,000+ and that's WITHOUT a rebuild.

I'm thinking that a Jeffrey's meet-up for the sake of caravanning in wouldn't be a bad idea. At least that way we could park together, and leave a little extra room for Billy and other folks who might come in late. We can't leave the widebody stranded, it's just to nose-bleedingly bright to forget.

Which Jeffrey's is that going to be Crit? It looks like we have one in Winder, one in Braselton and one in Suwanee.

Google says there is but the address is:
Barrow Regional Medical Center: Mikell Jeffrey Eug MDAddress:

Placement on map is approximate
316 N Broad St

Sounds suspicious.
Let's do Braselton. Kim Bassinger might be there.
So what's a good time? If we figure on getting there around 2-2:30 we can get all the good parking spots, so how 'bout 1:30 at Kim's?

Them's fightin words. There's nothing fussy about an SE. FYI, Greg, you can likely mount an S1 or S2 oil cooler up there with a little rigging or use one for an FC, but I don't know of anyone local with an SE oil cooler.
I really think that 1:30 is a little too early, as there won't be many people there 'tiil about 4:00. The importatlanta guys are never on time.

yeah, i agree, 1:30 is too early. ray, since you seem to be the team leader, make a time to meet at Jefferys and post the location with the address. And I shall show up there. Ray, I also have a gift for you i think you may enjoy. Its quite humorous.
