Good Grief, an RX-8 that looks like a GM Mom Mobile.

What is this world coming to?

Hey Tommy, you need to apply for your 10 Year Rotor

You're six months overdue.

Ray, I was expecting a comment about the RX-8 being a station wagon and this looking exactly the same! I think the RX-8 is growing on you...

I'm not fussy Tommy, even moderate Republicans are growing on me these days.

I was expecting a station wagon version of the RX-8, kind of like a Volvo P1800ES, which would be an improvement on the current RX-8:

Your 10 Rotor looks good Tommy, Congratulations!

As far as that MG RX8 goes, I wouldn't give 10 cents for it, it's a liability.

I know, I drove a 1978 MGB for many years when I was a poor graduate student.

I'd been noticing a clean 280ZX driving around my area for the past couple months. I decided to flag him down a couple weeks ago, when I was driving the 7. Turned out, his car was a semi restored '79. I came up with the idea of having a video done featuring both cars, so I contacted the guy who did the previous video of my car. We made arrangements and headed up to Lake Lanier. This is how it turned out.

Enjoy!

Don't get no better than that little jaunt.

And I got to say, while the Z car is one fine filly, your yellow SA is in another class. Rotary Perfection.

1st gen RX-7's with 12A's. Prettiest car to ever hit the road.

Congratulation on your 20 Rotor Phil! I do believe you are the first OGTA to reach that level.

I saw this on the FB group Phil. Doesn't get any better.

On a sad note, GSLSEforme passed in August 2020, it was just posted in the main 1st gen forum.

That would be pretty slick. I've seen something about a 3 rotor RWD Mazda patent, but chalked it up to be a rumor. But either would be very cool!

I haven't posted anything, but about 2 months ago I met Smokey the bear head on with the RX-8, doing ~50 mph about 1/2 mile from home... I'm alright, but the car was totaled. So the 8 was short lived, I had it a whopping 1 month and 1 day...

Maybe I'll get another one some day.

It did serve as a good shop tow vehicle a time or two...

You know what they say Brett, some days you eat the bear and some days the bear eats you.

Looks like you 8 the bear that day . 8 the bear. Get it?

Was the bear totaled too?

That new rotary has potential. Is there a 200 HP 1100 lb. 4th gen RX-7 on the horizon?

Did ya go over and poke the bear to make sure it was dead? How big a rug did he make?

Funny story... I hit it about 1/2 mile from the house, it ran right in front of me at night, and I was maybe 150' behind another car so his timing was dead on. I didn't know the extent of the damage, so I drove straight home to avoid a tow. Then I drove back in another car thinking I'd put him out of his misery, and found him dead 50' off of the road. The next morning, my wife drive by and saw 3 men standing around it. I drove by 30 minutes later and they had hauled it off! So someone got a new rug, but not me...

So you're saying Holly's RX-8 isn't totaled after all?

And good deal on the rug, bear rugs are bad karma.

Anybody going to DGRR?

The 1st gens will be making a showing this year.
