Didn't see any coolant boiling and there is no sweet smell in the exhaust, plus new seals were probably a little more forgiving. Finding a belt for the main pulley, water pump, and alternator was a pain. Plus the 2.5 mile walk to the auto parts store.

New problem. Lost power on the way home today, you think I would learn? Tach stopped working first and then a few seconds later lost power. Got her started again and turned off after a few seconds lost power again and couldn't restart. Check for spark and I have spark on the leading side but not trailing. Seems like it could possibly be an ignitor reading through forums. Damn this sucks.

So I swapped the igniters around and the tach if back on. I can hear the fuel pump kick on as I try to start it. Anyone have one they would like to part with?

Hey Mr. B, sorry to hear of your troubles.

I don't blame you for wanting to drive that thing.

But be patient, this is normal shakedown time for any major mechanical work.

I would recommend keeping it in the driveway until you have all systems well tested.

I have an igniter if you need one, please pm a mailing address.

Thank you Ray! I was able to bypass the fuel pump relay and get the car to start. Tried using a HEI ignition module with no luck either. The plus side she does run, real rich at that thanks to the trailing side not firing. I am done with the car for today, going to grab a few beers with a buddy of mine.

Ray, I greatly appreciate your help today. We put that new igniter in and the tach jumped right back up. Plugged the fuel pump relay and we were in business. Once again thank you Ray! This OGTA group is awesome. When is the next meet so I can bring out the FB?

Got the wheels and tires put on. The old ones on those wheels were in bad shape. So are we meeting in October? Would like to meet everyone.

Greg the Younger, come see Raul's GS in person at the October 6 OGTA meeting!

Raul's FB is practically the same as yours, another pristine 85 GS FB, no fancy Democratic sunroof on this unit.

And it’s seriously molested just like yours! It’s beautiful inside and out.

If Greg the Elder shows up and I can talk Mike into coming that would make at least 5 FB's.

Old guys with 12As club meeting-ygy7p80.jpg

I’ll bring the LE:

Which would equate to 5 x 20 = 100 12A equivalents, given the current exchange rate of 1 12A = 20 13Bs.

And if Andy makes an appearance with his mint SA that would boost the 12A count to 130. (1 SA 12A = 30 13B's)

Maybe even Brett will show up in his new Star Ship.

Last OGTA meeting before Daylight Savings sets in and robs the daylight.

Might even get James and the Ghia out.

Rotary Station Wagons are welcome of course.

She hates driving the Ghia. Like seriously hates it; she still can't find reverse.

Well I got out of work on the 6th. I'll see you guys up there. 7pm???

Figure this will be the last HOOORA of the single turbo FB. After this the ole RX7 gets the mothball till I get down and dirty for the twin turbos.

Anyone have more pics of Andy’s Sonic Bronze ‘79? Would love to see an interior shot and engine bay pic.

Yep, she's a beauty. And Andy don't look bad either.

Andy's '79 SA is bone stock, a totally unmolested specimen, right down to the distributor points.

I hope he makes it to the October 6 2020 OGTA meeting.

Are you out there Andy?
