Old guys with 12As club meeting
Thank you Robert, James, Tommy and Brett. Dignitaries each in the Rotary World.
It's good to know that a pretty 12A still gets your juices flowing.
Old, not Slow.
Paul, of course the innards are all proper. The TW12A was not built by Trump supporters.

Ray that looks like real progress there. Nice pic of the TW12A in all its glory. I can only wish I had been
there to help make it with Robert and Mike.
Is there video of the first start yet? And the goat drinking beer to celebrate? Please hurry!
Michael, don't tease us, give us a preview of what you have. You may not need an ad at all!

12A's are like fine wine Paul, each has its own moment.
The TW12A was originally going into my 83 GSL, the White One, a very fine example herself.
Low mileage, rust and dent free, just waiting for a makeover.
But then something better came along, the LE.
The TW12A is a perfect match for the LE.
A virtually new 12A from an 83 FB that got crunched by a train on its way to the dealership 34 years ago.
Quite simply a Gift from the Rotary Gods.
(That would be Robert, Mike and Hank. And the train driver).
So now the White One is slated for the ported 12A I'll be building sometime in the Future (already have the housings).
Assuming there is a Future, now that the Russians are targeting our fighter planes (another Trump World Spectacular).
Tim sorry for the delay, I'm having a bit of trouble stabbing the transmission.
Plus a grant proposal that's due today have put the start up on hold for now.
But in the next day or two it should be ready for a no plugs spin, I'll post the video.
Michael, post the pics of your stuff! If you still have that fuel tank from Sexy Pants I'd be interested!

If 12a's are like fine wine then 13b's are like Cabo Wabo.. they get it done quicker.. lol.. no better rendition of the 13b then the 84-85 Se in my book.

Oh yeah, and i'm Russian
Thanks Dmitri, I do like things clean and tidy under the hood, glad you appreciate it.
And yes, if that sweet light beige FB of yours was in my driveway right now, I'd take the hose to it in a Wankel Second.
So much potential!
On the Russian thing, don't get me wrong, I like Russians.
In fact they used to call me Ray the Red when I was in high school in the late '60's, which I didn't mind.
Russians are cool. They do good science. Some of my favorite scientists are Russians.
It's Trump who's the Disaster. Capitalism gone bad, that dude. Nothing good about him.
The World is leaving the US behind, we've become a third world country and it's all because of Trump.
Now about that red FC Paul. I'm going to be honest.
It's just plain ugly to me, inside and out. What were the Mazda Engineers thinking?
The Mr. Potato Head of RX-7's?
The Wankel Wonker?
Even the dash oozes Decadence, the downfall of a proud Marque.
Give me a 12A, an FB and a Nikki, the way the Rotary Gods meant it to be.
For about half the price of that red FC. And twice as pretty.

Mazda engineers were chasing the 944 look.. simple as that. I didn't care for it myself but I drove a brand new one in 88. It was a damn nice ride. Heavier and a better handler than first gens. Quicker too but not by much.
As for the stolen German engineers, all true. We got the best one though..Werner. During the War Stalin stole 6 B-29's from its ally USA. They were stopping for refueling and they were never allowed to take off again. They sent the crews home but not the hardware. So in the end it was American engineering being stolen and the B-29 was the sharpest cutting edge technology of its time. They copied it from stem to stern and the knowledge gained propelled the Soviet Union forward. Russian engineering as it relates to cars, planes hell you name it, pales in comparison to American quality. As it turns out it took the Japanese to enlighten the US and the world into finally producing better automobiles.
for the money that fc would make a great ride for my 75 year old brother. I'm not in the chips or I'd go make an offer on it myself. Very clean. Great car for a long trip too. It's fat but not nearly as ugly as Ray makes it out to be. And? It's got a rotary engine so it can't be all that bad. Itd be great having one just to enjoy the differing characteristics of the two generations. Just for the fun of it I'd love to have a Miata next to both of them. Had a 97.. what a damn nice car to push hard into a corner. Pics shown with the fiancé behind the wheel..

Now that Miata, that's something I could live with. Beautiful car Paul.
On the airplanes, you must be thinking of the Soviet Tupolev Tu-4, a WWII copy of our B-29.
Our B-29:

The Soviet Tu-95:

speaking of miatas, i'd like to rotorize one.
ray, concerning the LE, it's great seeing how ur bringing it back to life. but it really pains me knowing how i missed out on the purchase of it having to rely on someone else for a tow vehicle.
