Yeah I'm still up for it. I'm try to get a vert atm, and it's got nice wheels and tires on it that I could use. You did say you had the rotors, calipers, and pads as well, right? Give me a week to get things straight on the vert, and I'll come over and we can swap the fronts (that is all you wanted, right?). I'll get your number from Collin and give you a call soon.

Does anyone have a car trailer they'd let me borrow to get this dang vert. 2 people with ones have backed out on me and I really really dont want to pay $150 to a fat guy with a roll-back who wont even drive 40 miles...

Go to u-haul. The trailer's $50 bucks for a fully supported off-the-road trailer. Great stuff.

Well then, maybe Collin and I could pick do that tomorrow if his 'boss lady' lets us use her expidetion for gas.

And did you read what I wrote about the hubs? I saw your WTB thread and felt bad. Sorry, I kinda forgot about that deal But like I said I'll have wheels off the vert to put on my car, and I'll get your number from Collin probably today.

People were asking about you Stu. Are you coming down for Zoomfest? I think it's next weekend (I kind of lose track of the dates during the summer).

Also, where was Mike??

And did Mike ever get any oil pressure gauge satisfaction?

Yes, Zoomfest is the weekend of the 19th, so camping starts a week from tomorrow.

Looks nice Tim, I could go for some of those, almost as nice as the X's. If I only had an SA.

Mike I have some gauge clusters in the shed if you need them. Hope Michelle is feeling better and work stops being work.

Camping sound pretty wild, haven't done that in 20 years. Of course if it rains I can always go home.

So guess who finally got their convertible? I did, and god was it a pain. But I've got it now, so I'm happy. Anyone need some second gen parts now?

And dont you have like 16 or something 'X' wheels for FB's, Ray?

So what's the plan, you gonna part it out or put a new motor in it?

I would like to offer to take the verts locked motor off your hands. Should you decide to part things out.

I really want to put another motor in it, because the more I played with it last night, the more I like it. But I know I can't afford another motor, so I'm pretty sure I'm parting it out. But I want to try and keep everything intact as I sell things. Like I'm gonna throw those GTU wheels on it once I put the vert wheels on my car, and I'm putting my old S4 bumpers on once I take off the S5's. I just dont wanna trash it so I'll have a chance at selling it once I've gotten all the good parts off. And, if for some crazy reason I find an S5 motor for cheap before it's sold, I can try to put that in it and still have a complete car that's driveable .

That sounds cool. Let me get more organized with everything now, and I'll get back to you once I start going at it. What do people do with locked motors anyways ?

I am bringing my tent up to Zoom-Fest Friday night. If anyone wants to camp and don't have a tent, mine sleeps 3. I may not end up staying the night, but if someone needs a place to sleep, bring your sleeping bag.

So after I played with the car today, I became undecided about it, once again. I towed it to the top of the driveway (with our Taurus ) and out of the trees for some pictures. If I found a motor for cheap now I'd jump all over it. Who cares if it handles poorly and doesn't go fast .

The wheels and tires are worth over half of what I paid for it...

FYI, I traded the door panels, mirrors, and radio surround to Collin, and I haven't put his old door panels back in yet...

KEEP THE CONVERTIBLE!!!! They don't have to be fast to be cool, it's a vert FC!!!

P.S Sorry i missed the tuesday meet i don't quite remember that night (friends 21st birthday).

P.S.S I'm hoping to be at ZF this month, probably ride up in my drift car (m3) but don't think i'll have any extra $$ to drive (bummer).

P.S.S.S my car almost got put together this weekend but i stopped because I'm buying a t2 probably monday, so it's going to stay under the knife for a while longer while i figure out how to put that motor in my car. One day I might even drive it again... I can dream eh?

Does that mean you're swapping a T2 motor into the red/black thing?

We'll find a motor.
And yes, that means the "red/black thing" would be getting that motor hahaha. It's a base model with no sunroof, best track **** ever!!! And it won't be those colors after it comes off jackstands lol.

Ray, I just got the 2GDFI installed. It started much quicker than before. Also the idle smoothed out much sooner. The Dellorto ran pretty rough for the first minute or two on a cold start. Not anymore! I haven't road tested it yet (yes Ray, it's raining and I'm a puss). I hope I can hit the road later today.
So far, it's definately worth it.

Pimpdaddy, I say keep the vert also.
