Old guys with 12As club meeting

I second that idea! The SA is almost back together and Im way past due for a weekend cruise. Just got a new title so hopefully i can get tags/insurance this week.
New carpet is installed, new crack free drash obtained, and interior well on its way to being back in one piece!
Please rotary gods let my oil pan hold back leaks and pray the ujoints were my only issues on the purchase trip! (Havent taken her out yet for obvious reasons but ujoints, tranny fluid, and shaft are all swapped and installed so i will find out soon enough)
By the Way, nice looking place tool guy!

We will hook up. Guaranteed.
My 7 loves the weather down here though I may actually need to finally swap out the 195 thermostat with the 160 I brought w me. Never really hot enough in Ohio to use it.

I am late to this thread, as usual. It seem that there is mixed traction on the May 1 meet up. Why not just do a May 3 OGTA meet. Paul, I can work out a place to stay for the night, if you want to make the trip up.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
The GSLSE I had 2 years ago that was once Crit's was ported (and had the stock exhaust system) and it pulled great. Probably pulled better than my FC with a full RacingBeat exhaust.

I wouldn't say that, a mild port shouldn't affect reliability or driveability and gives NA's a nice bump in power. Get an aftermarket header/exhaust and he'd have a pretty quick car.

Hey Ray, if you'll commit to actually making it out this time for Billy's big re-surprise, i promise to deliver a second surprise as well (entirely secondary to Billy - not gonna steal his thunder).
You've got a week, Ray. Let's make this happen.

Mike I appreciate the offer. We're having my gals parents in for the week so I suppose I should be the good host and actually be here for them. We'll hook up the next weekend meeting somebody has. My weekly work schedule won't permit me to attend the Tuesday meetings.

Well boys I just had Carlos here and he was gracious enough to slip a slave into my car before he left. Mike is now the proud owner of my 84 se 13b and trans and they just left w Carlos to be used in his new project. If the rest of you slugs are as "top shelf" as Carlos, we're gonna get along just fine. Except for Ray of course.. I got all the dope on him from Carlos.. My right hand will stay logistically close to my wallet.

I have a quick tech question for you guys, hopefully you can help me out! Our FB is 99.99% ready to go and we have taken it for a few rides so far and are eager to put alot more miles on it. I think we are missing something though. The carb is prone to flooding, I am pretty sure its because the float bowl vent solenoid is not attached to the harness, is there a cable that runs between the harness and the lead off the the solenoid or does it hook straight into the harness if there is a cable does anyone have one or a part number?
Thanks again (hopefully we will see you guys at the meet next month!)

And just like that....the FC is back to its typical status, broken. I think its the relay so that's next. Either way, it will be in better hands soon and ill be in some other rotary powered vehicle, whether a truck a anniversary or a 3rotor FB!
Just like Carlos to slip in a slave cylinder during the visit, Carlos is top shelf for sure.
And Paul, I can't wait to see what the innards of that 6 port 13B look like, Mike is going to be one happy Rotor Head.
Mike if you can get a picture of that float bowl solenoid wiring I'm pretty sure I can find it in the parts shed, probably just a wire coming off the engine harness just before the rats nest solenoids. I've got all those harnesses and can cut out what you need. I'll be at the May 3 OGTA meeting and could bring it then, hope to see you too!
Cam what's this 3 rotor FB you speak of? You are talking my language.
So the low down on the Darth Vader air cleaner from the tech section seems to be that it comes from a jspec 6 port 12A. Anybody have any experience with these? Or better, pictures?

Thanks for the pics Mike, they say a thousand words.
I'm mowing the grass today, but will find what hooks those things up in the next day or two.
Unless somebody already knows.

Micheal, you need a 12volt switched ignition source to keep the soleniod open while car is running . vent is stabilize bowl pressure. Should be one close by on the engine harness unless it got hacked
Waffles - hmmm good

You all are gonna love this atricle:
The Rotary Engine Sucks
+1 on that vent bowl thing. My hogged nikki required it as well to run right.

Hmmmm.. Won 24 at LeMans, so routinely won in the early 80's that they had to keep changing the rules so others could win... Hmmmm he said he had one.... Hmmm... Bet he heard the raging siren go off that says its low on coolant and drove it another 30 miles to get home..sounds like a whiny bitch to me..

Yea, the dude that wrote that article obviously has not had the experience and pleasure of driving a 12A.
Kind of like Donald Trump when it comes to politics and governing, he doesn't know what he's talking about and it's coming out his ***.

It could be worse, Ray. When asked if she'd go see 13 hours (story about the loss of the Consulate in Benghazi), Hillary complained that she'd already slept through it once.
They all suck.

Crit, you are right but I don't think they suck.. I think they all blow. She wasn't sleeping, she was hiding in the closet with Monica but got more than a stain on her dress.
Now let me see if I've got this straight.
Bill Clinton screwed Monica Lewinski, kept our country out of disastrous nation-buidling wars in the middle east for a decade, brought economic prosperity to the US unknown in modern history and left office without a national debt.
Hilary Clinton recognizes that men are by nature sexual beasts, has kept a powerful, lustful, handsome man (who also happened to be a US President) content with a single marriage that has lasted 41 years, has been a US Senator and Secretary of State, has already lived in the White House longer than Donald Trump can ever hope to and yes, sometimes sleeps at night.
And Donald Trump has made a career out of screwing the American people and exploiting and offending just about everybody to build an outlandish financial empire that he uses, among other gluttonous endeavors, to buy a series of beautiful women who are only available to billionaires, some of whom he marries for awhile (three I think, I lost count after that one from France).
So I wonder, who would make the best President? (Bill is not eligible, term limitations)
Mike, I've done some research and found the connector for your vent solenoid connection, which as Gene previously pointed out is a switched 12V source coming off the engine bay wiring harness near where the rat's nest solenoids exit.
Here are some pics, the top one showing the vent solenoid connected to the wiring harness and the bottom one showing the harness itself, with the vent solenoid connector coming out right next to that light green coupling:

Monica would be a decent choice, she knows what its like to be on the receiving end of presidential choices.
Here ya go ray.
