Old guys with 12As club meeting
Yeah, 1st gens look great as convertibles. (The obligatory) Of course, 1st gens look great anyway. There was at least one shop that actually made verts out of brand new 1st gens and I always liked the look and the idea. I want to see this car, in person, too.
I believe that was called the Pacific Avatar, I couldn't remember exactly how it was spelled so I had to Google it.

Marco,
I have thought about going up there for a day or so, but not sure yet. All of the rooms/cabins are reserved from what I have seen. Being my final semester, and lots of other things in the works, I have a lot going on at that time, but I'd really like to. That being said, there's a slim chance the SA may be going back to the PO, but I could hold onto it until after DGRR if I decide to go that route. Or, I could just drive the 3 up for you

If you do run into him again, please snag more pics and possibly a phone number. It may motivate me to keep the WB and build a hybrid of this and some other massive changes.

Brett if you need any advice on the bimmer maintenance drop me a line. Great cars but you have
to really do the maintenance consistently and watch for any signs of issues. We have 150K on
our 2000 323i and it runs great.
Is that an automagic or a stick?

Anyone have a belly pan, for 1st gen, in good shape? A little mishap with a jack last night.
Ray, the CX-5 got rearended back in December. Very little damage, if it wasn't a brand new car I would not have it fixed. It is just replacing the bumper skin. It won't be done until early next week, so I won't be able to carry the compressor out to Jefferson. However, I might be able to carry a 12 pack out to Jefferson on Sunday afternoon. Let me know, if you can get away from the grant writting for couple of hours.

Sounds good Mike, not sure what you're talking about, but sounds good.
And yes, I do have a spare belly pan, whatever that is.
See you Sunday. And anybody else who needs to get out of the house.

I'm pretty sure there is a vaccine for the recent Bimmer epidemic.
Was that post from our long lost friend Gene?
Should be warmer for the March OGTA meet. Maybe we can make that homecoming and get a few faces out we have not seen in awhile.

There is a vaccine for beemer's, its called a parts and repair bill. After a few of those, you'll never own a beemer again.
I do believe that GB7 dude would be the One and Only Gene from Hokschston, who is deeply immersed in the reconstruction of an RX-2.
Once he get's that FB heater pipe, it should be ready to roll.
Gene, if the pipe's not welded to the frame, I'm sure I've got a few out there someplace.
Stop by Sunday afternoon, if you can get out of church, you can help Mike and me figure out what to do with that 12 pack.
