That would be fun to see Tommy. I think Mike knows how to post videos, you might want to check with him.

This looks like a pretty good deal on a full set of Tokico Blues, if anybody is in the market:

Had to let the anticipation build, and tried to wait until I got to at least wash it. Mother Nature didn't want that.

It's not a wankel, but man is it sweet! Don't plan to keep it long term, but I'm going to enjoy it while I have it.

Nice Donnie. So ur plan should be as such: enjoy the miata for a few weeks while u finish ur SA and then sell the miata and start building the widebody.

Something along those lines, but building the WB won't be happening any time soon. There are some major life changes in the works I need to address beforehand. Also trying to be in a wingsuit by graduation

Here's what looks to be a really nice pair of semi-peripheral port 12A housings, from the Land of Golden Rotaries:

12A Rotor Housing Semi Periferal RX2 RX3 RX7 79 85 | eBay

Can anybody tell me what the advantages/disadvantages of semi-peripheral porting are?

From the ebay ad and the pictures, do these really look like the mint pair they seem to be? Or are there some problems?

Thanks

If I am seeing it correctly, I have that same front bumper. It was on my SA for a short time and I took it off to paint.....years ago. It won't fit a FB front bumper though.

Nope, got is used. I will check it for markings, but the chances are slim. As I stated, it won't work with the FB front end. You would have to do a SA front end conversion: bumper, bumper cover, fenders, etc.

I wasn't aware that the SA fenders were different- I've been thinking about finding an SA bumper and trying to install it, that's why I asked.

Well darn, I liked how the bumper dipped behind the upper valance thing. Oh well. Your description was spoken like a true rotor head, though!

On a sad but overall positive note, I think I've decided to part out my FC. I believe one of the side seals has let go, because the motor has a weaker than normal 'pshhh' on every third 'pshh' when I turn it over and it has little power and a lopy idle under 2K RPMS. The Mazda reman barely has 90K miles too. So that combined with the fact that it's slow anyways and the body damage and other little bad things, I can make more money parting it out than I could if I sold it whole.

I'm going to put some of it's goodies onto the FB, sell the Ranger Danger, and with that chunk of money, buy a nice, newer, reliable, semi-fast car... but I'll need to talk to Jeremy before I decide exactly what car that will be...

Here's the ebay link for that car if anyone *cough* Ray *cough* was interested... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-110S...d=576143120109

BLASPHEMY!!!!

I don't blame you. The 8 is a little under powered or over weight depending on how you see things. On the other hand, if you drive a 1.6 miata daily then the 8 feels like it has plenty of torque.

You guys are going astray or crazy, not sure which. Torque is for self-visualized tough guys and horsepower can't buy happiness.

Keep talking like that and the Rotary Gods will surely seek vengeance and they will start with the 13Bs.

Really now, there's no need for miatas, RX-8s, FCs or a 300 hp AWD (Brett, did you really say that?)

Time to discover (or rediscover) the sweetness of a Nikki-fed 12A in a nice light weight SA or FB.

I've got a big block Suburban for sale. It has lots of room, lots of torque, and a gas tank the size of my fb.
