So, do any locals have some GSL-SE rotors. The rotors I was going to use to rebuild my SE motor are scrap.

That pretty much clinches it Tim, let's do Saturday June 7th. Let's lean on Michael, Sam, Stu and the others, when you guys show up 12A records fall.

Can others commit to that day so we can get a sense of turnout?

Next question is: Mike's house, Crit's house, my house or Collin's?

Crit I had some SE rotors at one point but gave them up when I abandoned the "SE wheel" upgrade. I do have the fuel level sensor though, will bring to next meet.

Sorry, I meant engine rotors. I'm up for Saturday, but I'll put my place down as an alternate location.

Whoops I should have read your whole sentence Crit, sorry. Engine rotors might be even harder to come by, good luck!

Considering Billy's Zoom Fest on June 19 (which I just noticed), should we still do a weekend get together in June? It seems a lot of the out-of-staters would target that day and not need the June 7 date for a trip down south.

What's your preferences out-of-staters?

I may come, but I'd either have to teach the GF how to drive a stick or come in her Audi A6. But there's still time to think. Yesterday I got my KYB GR-2 Shocks w. RB Springs from Austin (Kalifornia087). I got to my moms house and a friend of hers offered to let me use his shop, tools, and lift for free to put them on. The car rides so much better now that those 250K stock shocks and springs are replaced. I did a bit of spirited driving home from work today and they're a huge improvement.

Thnks Ray. Yeah it is dirty. It has been sitting since December he said. Safety ran out in sept 07 so who knows. It started after the 4th try so i am pleasently surprised.(Given what we paid for it)

As for the tires,..hmmm, will have to look into that area more in depth.

If we can get this one road worthy by then we will try to make the June 7th meet. Who knows what will happen between now and then.

Hope to see you all sometime soon.
Dave

"Zoom fest is July 19th I thought."

Thanks Tim, I guess I've been breathing a few too many rattle can fumes.

So we on for a Saturday meet for the June OGTA, June 7th? (Check me on that Tim).

Wow, nice bouncers Brett! So let's see, you can drive to work but not OGTA meetings? Kind of makes sense, I guess.

Dave come on down. Cleaning is the easy part, figuring out what's wrong is harder. That's why my cars are clean but I've never really quite got them figured out. Here's a good recent tire link:

June 7th is a Saturday, all day long. Stu already says he's coming. We'll work on the rest of the crew up here. Remember our goal is to outnumber the native SA count.

Might be tricky, the SAs have been coming out of the woodwork around here.

OK, it's official, June 7th Saturday meet, all day long, we just need to decide on a place.

My license is for school and work only. So honestly, I could drive to the meets, and if I were to get stopped, just say I'm going to work since that's <15 minutes from Jeffery's (and I can usually work pretty late). And my license says nothing about the restrictions, they only show when you run my license # through the system. But if I drove there Collin would gripe my butt about it, and I'm tired of those lectures (Just playin Collin). If I get all my reqirements done I'm off in late July!

Judging by your location and avatar, I presume it was you (or bwaits) who placed an OGTA 'business' card on my red '85 GS clunker today in the Burger King parking lot in Suwanee And when I left I noticed your black 7 at whatever corner restaurant is right there in the next building, but had to go back to work or else I may have waited around.

I live about half a mile from Peachtree Ridge highschool, and there's another red 12A basically right across the street from it, but it's been sitting in place for a couple weeks. I've also seen a light grey first-gen on Dean Road, as well as a few others around Atlanta. It's funny, I had never seen a first-gen in person until I bought mine up in Sugar Hill in August of 06, and since then have seen quite a few of them....I guess I just never noticed them before.

And hello all, heh.

P.S. - I don't quite fit into the OGTA description, as I'm only 20....but hey, who's counting?

EDIT: I had forgotten that I registered here a while back to ask a question I think about my clutch....but I know that join date is wayyy off.

haha, that was MEEEEEE. I work just up the street and was feeling the hydrocarbons today. I'm usually stuck in a coworker's Prius for lunch, but I made him ride in the catless pig-rich wonder today, so I had my cards with me. Great to see you, Arsenic!

Well I guess we won't be seeing you then, Brett. 'Cuz you can't drive and your shitty 'work' excuse wouldn't work unless you were blowing the cop...even so, he'd still take your *** to jail. And if you're gonna have Tara drive you then I'm not even gonna show up because I'd prefer not to kill two people.

I don't know, Collin, I could dig a better look at the Ranchero with a little sunlight. I wouldn't mind seeing them there. Of course, we still have to figure out where "there" is. If everyone comes by my house, we're having a soot-cleaning party to clean up my garage wall that was immediately behind the SE last time. Unfortunately, it's also running right so the fumes won't be so fierce. Of course, the RX-2 will be a roller again by then.

Ranchero? That's my friend Kristin, you're thinking of another person, Crit. lol

Don't worry Brett, I was starting to worry about the constant nagging that would be coming from the passenger seat for 22 hours...

Yeah we'd love to see that Ranchero in the daylight Kristin.

Let's try to get a sense of numbers, if it's more than a dozen or so cars (ie the Carolina boys turn out) it might put the squeeze on Crit's place and the neighbor's patience (I'm thinking about Sam and Stu's test drives).

If it's going to be mostly locals like the usual Tuesday meetings and the usual crowd of 6-10 cars, Crit's would be more conveniently located than my house out in the boonies, the food is good, there's that RX-2 and we can help Crit with his soot.

Arsenic you should join us, you wouldn't be the youngest OGTA member by a long shot. At least three of these guys are younger than you:

Arsenic, I drive the light gray one. I live off Dean Road. You need to make it out to a meet. Don't let the OGTA name fool you. We welcome all ages. Heck, we have a member who shows up in a Mazda 3 every month and we have not kicked her out --- yet.

I know how to get to Rays now and its closer, but i can understand if Cathy doesn't want a bunch of rotorheads messing up her yard.

Looks like Stu and me so far. I don't think Dave will make it in his "new" FB as it sounds like it needs a bit of TLC before he can take it on a long drive, but thats his call.
