Ok, its official. I'll be invading the July 5th OGTA.
How many other folks from out of state want to roll in with me?
I'll leave Charlotte at around 2:30 which puts me around Spartansburg
at 4 and into the meet at about 6.

Excellent News Tim and Michael, be good to see you! Let's plan to get the meeting started early, say around 6:00 pm instead of the usual 7:00 so you guys have plenty of time to visit.
The Jefferson Inn is now open with a fully functioning bathroom and we have vacancies for the evening of July 5th, if you guys want to put off the trip back till Wednesday morning.
Anybody need some lightly used 12A front and/or rear rotors and wheel bearings? In good shape but probably should be turned before use. I'm cleaning out the shed and have several, will bring to the July 5 meet if anyone is interested.

I'll have to check the garage. I had 2 items that will be great on the tow hooks for July!
More parts of course. I'm a pack rat.
However, figuring there is nothing more important than good brakes on a 110 mile a day commuter vehicle, I just put in an order at RockAuto for all new rotors and brake pads (front and back) and new front bearings. So at least for the brake parts I have a clear reason to move them along.
And seeing that there is so much stuff in the parts shed I can't get in there myself anymore, something has got to give. (I don't have one of those two car garages like Crit and Mike have).
So all those perfectly serviceable rotors, bearings, pads and what have you will be in the back of the Silver One (together with whatever else fits in) on July 5, looking for a new home.
Anybody looking for something special? (Sorry, no Del Hortos out there that I know of).
And Holly, you've got an excellent point:
"ahhhh. When will we see Crit's REPU again?"
The July meet perhaps???

My garage is 2 wide by 2 deep (the back half is single car/workshop/storage), so my wife is never getting me out of that house.

There should be plenty to go around, I think I have two or three sets. I hope to do some deep cleaning before the July 5 meet so there may be other stuff too.
No SA bumpers though (FB, that's another story).
I wish my garage was 2 cars wide by 2 cars deep. My house isn't even that big.

Unfortunately no. I am hitting it hard though. I am hopefull for a end of July date. The truck will be happy as I hope Crit and Dena will be too. Sorry for the long wait. It is alot of truck for one person even though it is tiny Once done I will have sanded it completely from head to toe, front to back about 10 times.I will have massive Hanz and Franz muscles after this project.

The SA is now road ready again, it's running a little rough, but it's totally driveable, I assume. I haven't taken it out yet because I am doing some long overdue work to my Work Equips. So when you see it at the next meet the wheels will be a different color, just not sure what yet.

Ok, opinion time.
This car, minus the front lip, with the pictured wheels in colors similar to these, or maybe other options. I am mostly thinking something along the current silver, gun metal, bronze, or maybe something else. I may also throw the front lip back on real soon too, who knows.

+1, bronze would look really good. I think if you did gold I think it would look a little fake unless you're getting them prof. done. Car looks good man.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The car still needs a lot of work, but I love it.
rotarypolo--- I LOVE your RX3. My favorite color option for sure. Will it be at the next OGTA meet?
I got all of the wheels cleaned and sanded today before work. They actually look pretty good back to bare aluminum. I would probably just polish the centers up if I wanted to go through the trouble of breaking them apart again, but resealing 3 piece wheels can be a pain, especially since I don't have a shop at my disposal here. The wheels will get a total overhauling whenever I go flared and such, but that's after college, and comes with lots of other goodies
I think bronze/gold will be what I go with for now. I just need to find the right color. I will go shopping around Monday. I hope to have them all taped up and ready for paint tomorrow after work. I plan on having them painted and back on the car around mid/end of next week. Then the SA will be ready for the next OGTA meet.

All aluminum, like in the picture, does look pretty sharp. Then there's Dave's and Crit's bronze color if you want to turn some heads.
