Old guys with 12As club meeting
Sometime before/ after your meet in the Epicenter, we should have my bash in the sticks. A good lunch, hangout, and drive in the mountains should be pretty nice one weekend evening. We could all finally do that route Mike and I mapped out. The FC just might even be running, too.
BITS should really be BBITS, so it's Brett's Bash in the Sticks. It's a meet I've/ we've been sort of barely planning for a while now at my new place in Dahlonega. We also mapped out a route a while back that starts only a few miles from me.
And Jefferson is the rotary capital of the SE, so it's the Epicenter.... lol

Well, since it doesn't appear that I'm going to vegas this weekend, I'm probably heading out to this if anyone is interested:
Title: Monthly Mountain Drive
Date: Saturday June 26, 2010
Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Repeats: This event repeats every month on the last Saturday.
Next reminder: The next reminder for this event will be sent in 4 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes.
Location: North Georgia Mountains
Notes: The route changes each month, being generally decided right before leaving. =-) The meeting place is the Starbucks just east of GA400 at exit 13. Please be ready to leave by 9 AM with a full tank of gas. This drive is open to anyone, not just Lotus drivers.

Hmm, I may swing down for that if the FD is done getting tuned this week. Do you have a idea of the route yet? Like how close to the NC/GA border do you get?

Usually we are in the suches/helen/neal's gap area, which is fairly close to the NC border.

OGTA sighting this morning.
Nice black GSL south bound on I-85. Exited at Beaver Ruin, just before 8 am.
He was not putting the superior handling of the FB to waste either.

That might have been Dean, the guy who lives near me in Jefferson. He works on Jimmy Carter and commutes in his black 83 GSL:
Those GT's are nice, GM would have had a real winner if they had stuck with their original plan and put a 12A in it. Still, it makes a great conversion project, just be sure to get one that has all the factory options:

Besides Collin, I saw that Opel GT over on 129 long before you did, it's been sitting there for a couple years.
That's an Avanti, right Greg? Or maybe some kind of Ferrari?

+1 on the Opel. I love those cars. I think the professors is on to something with putting a 12A in an Opel.
I'll make up details and plans and what not soon.
