Nope, not my first car. One day it will re-surface.

I noticed there are some old style louvers on that gold Rx-7 in the back ground behind the blue Rx-3. Who could I contact about those louvers? I had a set on my first car and would like to find a set I could restore and use.
seems i remember running across that blue sp on cl a while back. can't remember where it was but it was like all the others i'd find, either can't afford it or too far away.
Some people probably have seen this, but I never had and Mazda posted it up on facebook...

Repu tailgate
It was just brought to my attention that someone is running around talking crap about a tailgate that I am selling. For everyone's info the tailgate that I have for sale is off a blue 74 REPU that I sold to someone down south. The tailgate was taken off the 74. The 77 REPU that I sold never had a tailgate on because it was completely rotted! I drove this truck through my senior year of high school 1994 with a gator net. Whoever is talking crap be a man don't run around talking about people behind their back. Thats high school crap! I have sold numerous rotary parts for years and never had a problem. I just thought everyone should know the truth!

If anyone is needing Burgundy interior or white body panels from a S3 let me know. The white one is at my place now.
No, it was my second car, Rx2, that pitman put up under the back of a dump truck. First car went somewhere in the southeast. I figured it could have made its way in Gurden's back yard - Like so many others have.
Got fender? I do ![Evil Grin](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smiley-evilgrin.gif)
Somebody saying it is from Crit's REPU?

Billy, don't throw anything away.
I always did like that tailgate:

I suggest that at the next OGTA meeting we have a special break out group to discuss the following claim:
"Love is like a rotary. No matter how hard to try to keep it alive, it will always let you down. "
For the record, I TOTALLY disagree. I would argue that love is in fact like a rotary, it never dies.

I just took your statement as factual information that lead to a verifiable conclusion... But if your car has never let you down, this whole statement just sounds like something made up by a rotary misanthropist. =(
(You know I'm just giving you a hard time)
*Two thumbs up on the argument, Ray.*
Blaaah. I hope you guys like what I have for the next OGTA meet.
Now to not post for another few months. =)
Mark is a good guy. He has been in the rotary game a long time. He would not sell you anything that is bad.

I bought my SE motor from Mark with no background on it. We checked it out together, agreed that it looked good, and it's been running strong for 2 years. He also loaned me a few parts and sensors to get the car running until I could get them back to him. In fact, he loaned me his full wiring harness so I could rewrap mine and keep all the wire lenghts right.
Remember though that with used engines you can never really know what you're getting, and neither can Mark. Hell, you and Collin have collectively had some pretty bad luck and know that pretty well, but I wouldn't want you to think ill of Mark if it doesn't last long. That said, mine's been running like a champ, and starts with the absolutely first turn of the key every time. 10 minutes or 4 months - doesn't matter.
I've got a long flexible LED flashlight, though, if you want to borrow it and light up the housing through the exhaust ports. It'll allow you to check the chrome inside as well as apex seals. That and a flathead screwdriver may serve you pretty well. I'm about 10 minutes away from him.
As far as meeting up goes, I live 10 minutes down the road, and work 15 minutes down the road. Work is busy this week, but I've also got in-laws staying here. Translation is that during the day I'd be pressed to help out, but after work I'm DYING for an excuse to leave. Let me know what you figure out.
Yeah man, Mark's a good rotorhead who's been in it for a LONG time. He's run factory race p-port motors, cut his own with a hole saw, and even cut his own bridgeports using photos in the RB catalog, back before anyone had templates. He's got a few sweet failed parts to show for it, too. He doesn't get out to Jeffrey's for beer with us, but don't hold it against him ![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Thanks guys, I'm going to call him this evening and see when a good time would be to meet up. It will probably be after 6 PM since I work till 5. It will probably be Tuesday or later, too, since I get paid that day.
I know that you can never really be sure with a used motor, but when I can see it run in the REPU, I'll feel much more confident handing over more than my share of rent
When Collin and I traded parts for the motor that's currently in my FC, I was well aware of the chance of that motor turning out bad, and we had already talked about it all.
But by seeing this one run before hand, being able to see if it burns coolant/ oil or smokes, and knowing that he's a good rotorhead and the motor has been in Billy's hands at one point, that's pretty reassuring. I know that I really don't have to go look at it before hand, I just want to see it run before he pulls it from the truck and give him a deposit before he pulls it, too.
Anywho, I'll let ya'll know. Thanks for all the input, too
Now who wants to help me swap motors once I get this one? lol
